The Civil War is between 2 Independent Factions, the Empire did not start it but should use this occasion to reclaim Mobius Platform.

How would that actually work? I mean it's clear how we can make one of the independent faction win, but wouldn't the empire faction also be in a state of civil war with the controlling faction of that station to be able to take over?

I think if we take missions for the Imperial Faction at Mobius it may swing their loyalty, not sure of the actual mechanics (or if they even work )

Yes of course. The first order of business would be to choose a side and run missions for it to raise the influence, then in a warzone. plus even in a warzone we can still play strictly PvE if we agree on it.

Made it to Mobius Platform. The faction we want is "Imperial Society". Fair enough.
Interestingly they are in boom with 77% influence according to the display. Not sure what it will take to to get them take over the platform but will do some missions shortly to see if it can change.
