SIDE NOTE: On notebooks that have an integrated Intel GPU, the discrete GPU still uses the RAMDAC or eDP of the integrated Intel GPU, and is as the mercy of its limitations. The OP message was from 2019 March, but now that the RTX 2070 Super is here, that's probably the best buy out there -- price-performance, unless one can tolerate a RTX 2060 series or lower, of course.
