I know some people aren't fans but I really like to use Tapatalk in my iPad and iPhone to interact with various forums. The advantage is not so much that it formats the forum for mobile, though it does do that, as much as that it logs me in to all my forums at once and gives me a feed of new posts from all of them at once. Then I can interact with them all at my leisure, it's very convenient.

So I was wondering if it would be possible to have the Tapatalk plugin installed on this forum? It's free for the forum admin, it's those of us who pay for Tapatalk that support if financially. You can find out more at the link below...

The one thing I would change if you install it is turn off mobile detection/notification, I'm not sure what it's called. But it's the feature that nags mobile users when they visit the forum that they can use Tapatalk. It's an ad for Tapatalk really but it can be turned off, and the rest of us will be able to search for ElitePvE to add the forum.

I've got to say that for someone like myself who cannot connect to the Elitepve.com site at work, tapatalk is excellent for mobile phone use. I even paid for it (couple of quid IIRC).

All right, I've been playing with Tapatalk a bit and it seems quite useful. I also have not found any big issues with the plug-in. But they removed the feature to turn off the banner display. I had to modify the source code for that. The banner is quite large, and if you don't want to install the app it's really disturbing. Still, I will be installing it shortly. If it causes any trouble I will remove it again. This means a forum downtime.
As I have to tweak and modify it a bit, I expect the downtime to be about 30 minutes.
This will happen on pretty short notice. I am doing this in my sparse free time after all. ;)

They don't let you turn off the banner? How dumb. Good on you hackin the source, hopefully it works out. Thanks!

Done, and done.
I left the banner in for now, as you can click it away and it sets a cookie so it does not appear again. It's good to let people know they can use Tapatalk at least once. ;)
If anybody has a problem with a reappearing banner, please let me know.

Tapatalk updated to 4.7.0

I`ve been using this for a while. The forum has been okay using Tapatalk when I first joined.

No issues at all. Well, some of the smileys don`t come up, but that don`t matter one bit.

The only thing is - because I'm stupid (I can't even tell you got stupid) - having come to the forum via Tapatalk in the first place... How do I log in to the forum on my desktop machine? What password do I use? Or can't I do that?
