Those only present the bitrate and whatnot for what you can actually (or lets you) play in the given interface.
Netflix tend to keep their bitrates to themselves as far as they can
And I suspect it also varies by region and content, some shows and movies are noticeably better than others.
It also happens that my avr has a bug in the decoding of DD+ that is triggered from to low of a bitrate.
Netflix has been the only supplier of DD+ audio that triggers this bug, basically it sounds like there is a sickly cricket sitting in my left surround channel.
As for the numbers I'm going with what I dug up on avsforum.com. and I believe them. Netflix has always been extremely eager to save a bit on network traffic since they now are being pressured by the 'muricans and their useless ISP's.
Since Netflix also started blocking unblockus I have swapped over to regular region and this seem better, I still consider it compressed to hell and back, but it is better and am watching black sails and so far no fucking chirping noises.
