Or does anyone else think this sounds like Elmer Fudd's more talented Nephew? The wife said he sounds like Elmer fudd when it came on the radio. Now I can't unhear it...

Yes and no,
But ultimately for me after 1:30 minutes it just turned into a REALLY boring song...

Not sure 'more talented'..but yes.
Santana said (I think) about voices for his songs that he had to 'believe' what they were singing, Smooth (although co-written) is I think a case in point

I don't hear it, but I haven't heard Elmer Fudd, et al, since the progs got them all taken off the TV 30 years ago because they were so racist, violent and hateful. Best cartoons ever, imho. I actually used to see them in the theater before movies (and before previews and stupid quizzes).
This song sounds like 10,000 other songs that I don't like. I wonder why there are never any lawsuits about stealing the beat. Whoever came up with that first "thump thump thump thump" should be making billions on copyright.

I got to 2 whole minutes, then he was the one thing in MY way of not going insane LOL That's the bit I get the Elmer Fudd vibe.
Actually I kinda like the music in it, but it is ruined by the lyrics being repeated over and over and over and over and over and over and over... (< all typed not copied and pasted btw
)
I have noticed much of modern music seems to have many repeats in the lyrics to the point I end up either turning off or skipping to the next track LOL That said I mostly listen to instrumental music as I am really only interested in the melodies, not the rubbish that gets 'sung' over the top of it. Though the exception has to be Portal, I love both those ending songs and the lyrics with them!!
