Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

I've gone ahead and compiled the proposed events into a poll.

The poll works like this: Vote for every event you can and are willing participate.
We can submit as many events to Frontier as we like! Not all of them might be promoted, but we should do them nonetheless.
The poll is just for telling Frontier how many players they can expect in each event and for us see which one will happen.
I have limited the votes to 4. So pick the ones your attendance is most sure, you can still show up for the others of course. You also can pick less than 4, of course.

Keep in mind the events have to be in the BETA, this is supposed to be a stress test. On the other hand they do not necessarily have to be in the Mobius group!


As far as the organizer is concerned, some of the events need minimal organizing, like the WELCOME Event. You just have to agree on a specific time and place and be there, streamer or no streamer. If you like, record it and I can put it up on the group Youtube. This is just an example.

Of course your name will appear on the promotion, if you want, so please post if you would like to take one of the events without an organizer yet.

If you need a special channel on our TeamSpeak server, also tell us.

And last but not least, if you like doing stuff like this, Frontier is not limiting their promotion to the stress test. You can always have events promoted by them via our group contact!

So the organizers still has to give us the exact place, date, and time before we can forward this to Frontier. If you want to do it more than once, just do it and we will tell Frontier all the dates.

• Details (Include location, any sign up forms etc): GATHERING IN STARTER SYSTEMS (LHS 3447 AND THE LIKE) AND GREETING ALL COMMANDERS LARGE OR SMALL. (Left out the cargo part, as most were against it)

• Event name: THE ULTIMATE JUMP or THE MULTI-SHIP JUMP or anything less dorky as what I suggested
• Event organizer (CMDR or ElitePvE Forum name): Phreedom
• Date: (possible dates: 21st Sep – 4th Oct): ? 4th Oct
• Time: (what suits you, the organizer, best): 19:00 GMT (20:00 BST)
• Details (Include location, any sign up forms etc): Gather as many ships as possible in one system and have a coordinated jump to an already pre-determined system. All ships would jump at the same, or as close to the same time as possible. There would be CMDR's in both the starting system and the destination system rolling cameras. 2 or 3 cameramen per system would be best to capture different angles. To accomplish the mass timed jump I believe the best way would be to have all ships in a small enough "parking" area where they can all be seen by the camera crew but obviously not too close to one another to cause crowding. All ships would be at zero throttle. When the "charge FSD" command is given then all ships charge their FSD but are still at zero throttle...not moving at all. The second command would be a countdown at which all would hit their boost button. This method would cause the ships to jump all at about the same time.

• Details (Include location, any sign up forms etc): For new members we get together a few times a week outside mobius station in Azrael,
  Simply put. They undock, we salute with a rain of chaff, Maybe throw in a
  Add on top an excuse for some teamspeak carousing and other shenanigans it can become quite an amusing and memorable event for both parties.

• Event name: Rugby
• Event organizer (CMDR or ElitePvE Forum name): ? (Xebeth?)
• Date: (possible dates: 21st Sep – 4th Oct): ?
• Time: (what suits you, the organizer, best): ?
• Details (Include location, any sign up forms etc): Two teams, the with four additional CMDRs acting as goal post, a cargo pod is placed in the centre of the field, when it starts the idea is to pick up the cargo and drop it in the goal of the opposite team. If you get tagged (nudged by an opposing player) you have to drop the cargo, the other player then picks it up, etc, and so on... First team to x goals wins. Destroying a player by tagging them too hard gets you sin binned for a period of time.

• Time: (what suits you, the organizer, best): ?
• Details (Include location, any sign up forms etc): As many CMDRs as possible in Eagles start at 7.5km out facing the entrance slot to a station, after everyone requests docking, and when the signal is sounded everyone rushes to the slot as fast as possible, the idea is to see how many can fit through the slot in one go.

• Event name: Tag
• Event organizer (CMDR or ElitePvE Forum name): ?
• Date: (possible dates: 21st Sep – 4th Oct): ?
• Time: (what suits you, the organizer, best): ?
• Details (Include location, any sign up forms etc): Using mining lasers, everyone starts as a group and one CMDR is designated 'it', on the count the idea is for the one that is it to tag another play by hitting them with a mining laser shot, whilst every one else tries to avoid them, if you get hit then you are it, etc, etc (would need to restrict the play area of course)

• Event name: Demolition Derby
• Event organizer (CMDR or ElitePvE Forum name): ?
• Date: (possible dates: 21st Sep – 4th Oct): ?
• Time: (what suits you, the organizer, best): ?
• Details (Include location, any sign up forms etc): Sidwinders, no weapons, no shields, you know how it works

• Event name: Chicken
• Event organizer (CMDR or ElitePvE Forum name): ?
• Date: (possible dates: 21st Sep – 4th Oct): ?
• Time: (what suits you, the organizer, best): ?
• Details (Include location, any sign up forms etc): Who can go through the slot at a given (very fast speed) and stop closest to the back of the station without hitting it.

Cheers Wolf. Excellent work on the poll. Sorry, I'm not up for organising, but I would love to partake in WAC.

Name the starport/system and approximate time, and I'll try to show up on time in my trusty Python, hailing everyone and his dog, and throwing cannisters of gold at unsuspecting commanders (try and stop me... ).

I do expect Code to try to ruin the event. That is after all how they get their jollies.

The success of the Hutton Orbital goal was sweet but short lived. There have been rumors that the mugs contain low level toxicity from the use of untested scrap. Hutton Orbital Radio have launched an appeal for any commanders willing to take up a new challenge. They need help hunting for a suitable medical or scientific outpost for the first Hutton Truckers convoy to carry a shipment of these new items for extensive testing. Due to large finds of precious metals in the rings of Caucuma 9, alongside the remote location of Caucuma, we find ourselves with a pirate infestation problem. The Katamari Group iKatamarinvites all Mining and Combat Commanders to help with the clean up of the three main resource extraction sites around the gas giant of Caucuma 9. The three resource extraction sites have been given warnings of low, high and hazardous. We recommend that any Commanders interested in helping out with this problem meet at FU Station around Caucuma 6 at 10pm (BST) on the 26th September to wing up.

Or, of course, you might support the freedom fighters and want to spread their influence even further!

Join BBC presenter Kate Russell and a host of well known community names for this day-long event. Watch master pilots take to their Sidewinder and compete in a series of challenges. Fun, entertainment and excitement to be had. With special guest appearances form the Frontier Community Team.
PRIZE: A signed piece of artwork for the winner of each round and the overall winner will also receive £25 of paint jobs or digital goods from the store.

As my schedule is packed, I could not be there anyway so me choosing a time makes no sense, so YOU just choose a date and time, I will update the post and we will just announce it. We do not need streamers so people just have to show up.
