Thats what I thought. Given that the exploration database is so large, could you imaging if it also included millions of miles of tracks!

I imagine they will have some permanent tracks in and around installations, so anything you create will get lost in them. Otherwise, I will be happily surprised if they lasted more than seconds or more than a short distance behind you. Regardless, I think they will have to erase them at some point rather soon after they are created.
I still don't understand while there is all this drifting dust & sand on airless planet surfaces, but having SRVs throw some around might help explain the dirt on the roadways.
