Stupid ship landed the OTHER SIDE of the canyon I was at. Quick way? Jump it!!

Good jump. Almost had it. But you made it so that is the important part.
I hear some have had issues with the SRV being a little frail. Seemed to take it pretty well.

I rolled down a cliff in my SRV, 50% hull left by the time I stopped but certainly woudn't call it frail

I think also trying to land wheels first helps with damage reduction. I found out that you can do attitude adjustment while in flight from the wheel thrusters.
