A visit to 'The Dweller' Engineer Base in the Wyrd system.
Gutamaya Delta Alpha Romeo, I like that greeting :)
As well as the initial contact requirements, you also need to source commodities and synthesis materials for the upgrades, different requirements for each.

Ha ha, it seems we both keep our heads tilted/aimed a bit to the left. :)
The TV is over there in my case. Funny you don't notice it while playing.

Out of curiosity, why do you pull out of glide like that? The game will complete your glide for you well before you are in danger of hitting the ground.

Depending on the G of the planet, I find the larger ships, particularly if full, glide for too long, leaving less time for braking. Particularly without A thrusters.
So by pulling up it cancells the glide early, giving more time for braking.

Ah, I see, largest ship I've ever flown into a planet was probably my Type 7, and it was hardly full at the time I did it, and the Gs were rather low.

On the Annie, I frequently had to flip 180 and boost just to avoid bouncing off the planet.
Wrecked a Cutter in the last Beta coming in too fast, too low, after the glide finished.
