Hello all,

First time player here! I've had this on my Steam backlog for a while and finally decided I wanted to dedicate the time to learn how to play. I love space in general and I am excited for the space ship element a lot. I've heard that learning the control set and mechanics can take some time, so I have committed to myself that I will put 5 hours in to try to not give up too early.

I'll admit that forums intimidate me a bit, as my internet experience has not had a lot of them. If I have a question, I am assuming that I should search for the forums first but from what I have seen already, it seems like the game as gone through a lot of changes over the years, so I don't know what information is out of date and what is good in 2025.

Would creating a new post in the General Discussion section be a good place to start if I don't find a good answer from searching?

Hello Commanders,

I am CMDR Vorser Noban.
I received my admittance message today and i am very happy to be in this group.
I look forward to playing in a universe where working together or alongside others for a common goal is the norm.
I usually devide my time between mining, trading/hauling and bio/exploring.
Just started in colonizing, and slightly overwhelmed by the topic at the moment
Have been playing Elite for quite some time now and the solo universe started to feel a bit empty.
I have done a bit of On Foot Oddesey, for the materials mostly and some rank.
I am age 63, male, from the Netherlands, and as you might have guessed English is not my native tongue.
I can manage some German too but thats about it.
I do not have TS or Discord at the moment but if needed i can set it up.

Hi everyone,

I'm playing Elite for couple years, started on Xbox. Usually solo because I didn't know and didnt search for any group like Mobius and I don't like pvp stress in this game. I like PvE ship combat (boy, that new Cobra is so sweet I get Pavlov reaction only by typing about it...) Mandalay love for explo (got Elite in it for some time already and occasionally pushing toward Exobiology elite rank aswell). Got Big Three but I prefer more agile ships (Cobra mkV, Python mk II, Corsair quite interesting too). Sometimes will hop in to some big Type-something or now Panther Clipper to do hauling during CG. Fighting for Utopia and trying to claim system with infrastructure related to Stanislaw Lem.

Btw, do you know how long it can take to get inv to the group? Like week ago or more I have filled in the form and sent request in game.

You are in the right place for some PvE fun with like minded people! All registrations are handled by one person and real life does get in the way of things. Seems you just missed last approvals. I can't give you a clear estimate on how long it might take. Usually 3 - 4 weeks but that's just guessing it. Might be a bit less.
