Gosh! It's been a few months since I played ED. I do hope my inactivity hasn't caused me to be booted from the Mobius group

I probably won't get much chance to play it until the New Horizons add-on comes out. Probably a silly question; but will NH be an add-on, or is it a separate game? If the latter, will it affect the Mobius group being able to play it?

Feel free to add your name to the In game friend list thread and check out our TeamSpeak servers to easily chat with, and possibly wing up with other commanders. Also, make sure to check the Policy page if you haven't already.

Hey Myrm. Inactivity won't get you booted. And Horizons is an addon, not separate.

Greetings all.

My name is Ayaron. I have been playing Elite since 1985 when I flew a vector graphics Cobra on a ZX Spectrum. Flew in most of the follow ups as well. Was so stoked when Frontier Devs brought it back and managed to capture the spirit of the original with modern graphics and an unbelievably details 1:1 galaxy!

I have never been a fan of PvP gameplay. I find it very stressful when it goes badly for me. But on top of that I can't enjoy it when it goes right either, because that means someone else is having a bad time of it! I guess I just don't have the killer instinct.

Joining this group because I'm hoping the private MOBIUS group will mean the galaxy will feel more populated and interactive without having to worry about getting ganked every 5 minutes. Also hoping it might mean I'll meet a few friendly commanders with a matching play-schedule that I could wing up with on occasion.

Hi Lokvette here.
Played Elite/Elite Frontiers way back when half a meg expansion on my Amgia 500 was doing well in terms of hardware.

Also played Jumpgate (NetDevil game. 2000/2005) in and out of EvE 2000/2008ish Lordopic (any jumpgaters out there might ring a bell ) was my main but had others in both games.

I might be the most vocal here or in game as i tend to do my own thing, do play in open though. Pledged to Zemina Torval more for a bit of background RP. loyal to the empire all though i do lend my services to the independents. Trying to get a hang of the BGS. emm oh i have cookies

Hi

The names Cameron, 40 year old male & I hail from a small town in Central Scotland. I first played Elite on the ZX Spectrum way back in 1984, it's nice to see they have done a great job re-booting one of my favorite games.

I've got about 80 hours play time so far & it's been a steep learning curve. Nearly gave up after about 10 hours but glad I didn't now.

I'm currently sitting in the TZ Arietis system, staying close to the Sol system doing federation missions so I can get my Sol permit. I'm in no way familiar with the communications systems or Wings, so if I'm not responding to messages this is just because I don't know how to use it (yet). If anyone is interested in increasing Federation rank & also trying for the Sol permit, give me a shout. Deep Sea Dobber in game.
