Hi folks, CMDR Pumabear at your service, I spend much of my time exploring beyond the bubble, and while I've been part of the group for a few days, I've only bumped into one other at Farseer, I look forward to bumping(not literally) into more of you as I return to the bubble, or maybe a chance meeting out in the black.

Saw a thread on the official ED forum about people being 'ganked' on the Open servers when approaching Engineers and someone mentioned Mobius as a solution. I had to come check it out. I'm fairly new to ED, so haven't had a negative experience with Open play as of yet, but I'm not a fan of hiding in Offline to avoid people. Seems better to just join a large group of like minded individuals that don't want to be 'harrassed' by other CMDRs.

I'm Blackryu. I choose PVE over PVP due to the that i feel i deal with enough cut throat behavior in the real world than to subject myself to it in game. People tend to lose concept of courteousness(spelling). They get rude and distasteful. i'm here to have fun with challenges.

I choose pve over pvp. As I have all ways enjoyed a more laid back approach to games. And with having a full time job. Trading and courier seem the best bet. As I can stay in a station if needed.

Would also agree with some other people here. That pvp can lead people to be a little bit nasty in what they say. I also try to be a nice person.

I look forward to flying with you guys.

Lastly I will say I am new to this game. So far I have learnt how to fly my ship fairly well. Can travel between systems, and I can dock. But that is about it

As for the confusion on my name. I tend to use Samantha as my character name, on games I play. But my real name is James. Can thank my partner for that one. She insisted on that name years back, and it stuck

my ingame name is based on the famous Sylveste family of Yellowstone (set in the "Revelation Space" novels by Alastair Reynolds) - however offspring of a rather unimportant branch of this clan. But I share the passion of the family: curiosity, and exploration.

I became aware of Mobius, since I'm fed up by all those PvP psychos who shoot at everyone at sight - just because they can (btw this was also the reason why I left EVE Online years ago). As someone said above: I prefer cooperation instead of confrontation. And although I sometimes fight if I really must, I usually choose to escape - that's why I am still 'mostly harmless'.

Actually I like the "just flying" and the "sense of wonder", hope to see the one or other friendly pilot out there.
