Hello all,

Name is Rob, I am looking forward to seeing all of you out in the vastness of space.

I am new to space simulations for the most part, last space game that I played was Space Commander. I have been heavily involved in race simulations so happen to have a 3 screen rig that displays ED very nicely.

Bought into ED on the last pre release day, 21 Nov I think, and have put in some time, learning more all the time.

Not being involved in many, if any, MMO games I did not really get the idea of having groups like this, until doing some research about how things in Open Play mode could turnout. I think this will be a great place to call home and experience the game with others.

Will be roaming around in the group once my request to join is accepted.

I have been on Iracing for a couple of years, kind of strange that I found out about this game in the racing forum lol. Looking for a little less intense experience here.

Hello all,

I don't get to play much, so when I do, I prefer to play my own game and not be a part of someone else's, but I do enjoy meeting folks out there occasionally. I got pirated by an American last night, so I just went solo for the rest of the night. He did at least open comms and ask me to drop cargo, better than some, but I only had mission cargo and it wasn't until I was rebuying my 12k hauler that I realised that was probably why I couldn't jettison it.

Anyway, I know it's a designed mechanic etc, but it wasn't fun or entertaining for me, and he didn't get any cargo, so I'd rather play in a universe without such a mentality in it. I really don't see the point. Sounds like I might have found it.

Ill request to join next time I'm in game, looking forward to meeting you out there commanders.

However, if you can be sure you won't be attacked by human players in the group, you can still encounter nasty NPC's!

Welcome Grumbleweed. Yep you found it, this group is so laid back that if there were no NPC pirates about, you could play the game in your sleep.

I believe though that there are one or two who already do that..... Me included.

Yeah, no worries, I can understand why a brainless machine might do it, and it doesn't make me fear for the future of humanity.
