ingame I'm Cmdr Sperber

In RL I'm a 46 yo programmer (mainframe) from Vienna, Austria and my gaming style is casual gaming. I have no intention of spending hundreds of hours in honing my abilities so I do not look a douchebag when it comes to PvP - I'm interested in trading (including black market from time to time - you have to make _some_ profit ), exploring, mining, courier runs. I will be able to defend myself against the occasional NPC aggressor, but that's not my focus.

Initially my goal was to play the Solo (offline) game with different commanders (each with his/her own story evolving), but right now it looks as if that won't happen anytime soon. So to get a bit more depth into it I decided to play online - without the PvP hassle (casual gamer against hardcore pirate - you know the outcome!). While I like the idea of being able to meet other commanders out there, I have no interest in getting shot by them (or shooting them).

When I found PvE/Mobius it was like "Heureka" - so thanks a ton to you guys. And please be patient, I have not used ingame chat in E:D, so it could happen that I'm way too slow to respond if you hail me. That's not because I'm trying to be impolite, but because I struggle with the coms. I hope for voice chat, though. Direct channel with the hailed commander or with a group of wingmen would be great!

Ingame my name is CMDR Ivanes.

IRL I'm a 37 year old Software Test Engineer working on a Video Management System.

I play as often as I can, mostly Warthunder and ED at the moment.. ED almost exclusively right now.

I do like some PvP, but only if it has a cause, like chosing a side in a conflict and fight the "good" fight. Did that in EvE Online for a few years and it was great. I don't like to gank or attach seemingly random people, but I would like to try some escorting and laying traps for pirates and gankers .
But I prefer the PvE game mainly.
