Hello! Hopefully I am not jumping the gun here. I applied to join a couple weeks ago and while I wait on the application I figured I would introduce myself and make some connections so I'm not diving in headfirst all alone.

To start with why I've chosen PvE over PvP? Honestly I am very picky about games I engage in PvP in. I don't have time to train all the various talents needed to be good at PvP so it usually isn't fun for me going up against the people who put in all that hard work. So I like to play solo or PvE and stay out of the PvPers' way. I am not very good at combat flying in this game so I keep to fighting the NPCs. I also tend to lean more into trade and exploration and, to be frank, I am not here to be someone else's content. I have no interest in dealing with high traffic area campers. I think that's toxic behavior and rather than give them the content and attention they need I would rather associate with like-minded individuals.

I play a bunch of scifi games and have a couple thousand hours spread across them. Space Engineers, Stellaris, Starpoint Gemini Warlords, EVE Online, Supreme Commander FAF, Halo (pretty much all the ones on PC), Fallout 76, Starfield (sometimes), Void Crew, Jump Ship (when it comes out. The demo was so fun though), Lethal Company, and many more. I'd be happy to add anyone on Steam or Discord.

For those who care I am a 30 year old trans woman (I don't really think it has to be said here but if I do voice comms with anyone I don't want a deeper voice to surprise them) that lives in the eastern half of the united states. In Elite, as said above, I mostly trade and explore but I have been grinding for the Corvette. I do some PvE from time to time and recently fell in love with the Python Mk. II. My current ships are:

Sidewinder (I gotta keep my first ship. Besides I put an SRV bay on it and use it for exploration sometimes)

There are probably others but I honestly can't remember them all.

Welcome CMDR !

That's quite an impressive fleet you've got there! There are ways to keep track of all your ships. For one, you can register yourself on inara.cz and sync Elite logfiles as use one of many tools to do that for you.

And yups, I never went for the big ships. Getting the fleet carrier for Doug was a grind on it's own, I'm not much for grinding
