Greeting and oh-sevens, commanders. Mossy Stone here. (Usually MossyStone or MossyStone48 but you can just call me Mossy.)
Been console and PC gaming all my life and have it's been a real adventure the last 40+ years. My family already had an Intellivision by the time I could game and evidently it had been in my grandmother's house since just after launch. The same grandmother got me a Gameboy with Tetris the year it released in the US. A bit later a Super NES showed up with the console port of SimCity. My first gaming PC was an Apple //e and a mess of totally legitimately acquired games on floppy disks. IYKYK >:3 and shush. K-mart had a sale so Wing-Commander on SNES became another PC port to land in the collection. About that time a PC was being financed for the family by my father. When it showed up it was slowly upgraded with a Sound Blaster clone, additional ram, a newer Socket 7 CPU (Cyrix M II) and a CD-ROM drive. The first CD music album also got purchased (Weird Al's Bad Hair Day) then a copy of Privateer CD was found on discount at a Toys 'R' Us and all pretense went out the window. That PC was still a learning platform but the class being taught was 'How to Pwn 101'.
Some sort of "information super highway" (or 'internet' short) stuff happened which is a fad ppl have largely forgotten about.
Any F!CK..
Elite: Dangerous was largely unknown to me and confused for Eve Online (which I utterly despise - do not @ me) so Elite went ignored until a copy showed up for free on EGS. Tried it. Loved it. One of my stream chat regulars bought me the Deluxe Edition on Steam and I've not put it down since. Mining isn't my strong suit. More of a bounty hunter TBH. (Blame Privateer and Wing-Commander.) But mats for upgrades and credits to buy a Fleet Carrier have become a MUST for me. So joining y'all here seemed like a good idea. We can gather up the ppl n means to go make buckets of dosh allowing for the eventual carrier purchase. If any real mining has to happen I can at least keep the mining platforms; I'm used to calling 'em "platyies", safe from NPC 'rats.
Also I do stream but maybe don't look too hard. Not that I wouldn't love the company. Quite the opposite. But my streams are exclusively adult-only.
I couldn't define Seiso if you pointed it to me in a dictionary. Lol. Dict. Oh I'm trans fem too. Just in case (I dunno) that might be an issue.
