Glad to meet everyone here! I'm a relative noob to the series, never having played the original Elite games, and only having bought Elite Dangerous a few days after it came out of Beta. Quite enjoying it, though looking forward to the content getting fleshed out a bit more, and have decided to join you fine folks because I decided I got significantly more enjoyment out of meeting new Commanders and talking shop with them so to speak, than just trying to blow each other up. =P Socializing in Open is a bit hit and miss, given the placed players congregate carry the decided risk of someone lunging at you with dumbfires a-blazin, so it'll be nice to be somewhere I can park my ship and make friends all chillaxin and whatnot.
