CMDR Red Queen checking in

Good morning/afternoon/evening to you all.
I'm Sarah, AKA Red Queen in game. I also go by Aloriel, which will be my Teamspeak name when I get on there.
I'm a pretty hardcore gamer girl, and yet, I am not a huge fan of PvP. Thus, my joining this illustrious group. The deciding factor was last night when I lost about 60k (half my money) worth of cargo because some pirate player decided I was a good target for his weapons that were more expensive than my entire ship. It was NOT a fair fight by any means (shields were down in two shots). I'm pretty good, but that kind of imbalance isn't even close to fair.
Anyway, I'd still like to play with people, just not the PvP aspect until I am on par with such pirates. This seems like the best group to join for that.
