Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Been playing ED for a month now, all in Solo. (The one thing I did not like about the original game is that I could never get anywhere without being attacked and killed). Anyway, saw the blurbs for Mobius and decided to sign up. Had a few guys request to be added as friends and agreed. Can I presume that anything that was available in Open is available in Mobius (without the 'fear' of being crapped on by superior ships/griefers? I am currently doing the exploration thing and well away from any civilization.

The galaxy is the same whether you're in Open, Private Group, or Solo modes. That includes the back story, the missions, the community goals, and so on.

The particularity of the Mobius group is that PvP is forbidden, except in conflict zones. See the Policy page. That being said, you can still be attacked by NPC's (AKA AI's)!

Thanks for warm welcome and information - must go read that policy page = when I get back from current exploration trip, I intend to immerse myself in the combat elements of the game - mobius style. Incidently, I am working through the various ' vocations', having done basic trading and then the rares and worked my way up to a well equipped T6. Looking to change to a Cobra to start my combat stage.

Further to my initial posts, I am still exploring and racking up some good finds. Just watched a tutorial for WINGS and that looks really interesting. I have accepted a few members as friends but currently have never got involved with Comms (as I had always played in Solo). The little speech box has appeared occasionally in my HUD but no idea what it was. Now that I have researched this in the manual I have a better idea. My apologies to anyone trying to contact me if I seemed ignorant - still learning this aspect of the game and no doubt when I return I hope to make good use of Comms and Wings. [Comd Tuzo]
