CMDR Stummies

Hello everyone! Joined the group yesterday after reading about it on the E:D forums. For the most part I keep to myself though wanted to have other people playing in the same world as I without worrying that some kid looking for laughs messing up my fun. I honestly never have heard of this game or the previous games before, happened upon it when it showed up on Steam. I played Wing Commander and Privateer games back when I was a teen in the 90s and loved them, this game reminds me a lot of Privateer.

Looking around here I think most of you are in other areas, I only saw 1 person all day yesterday in my "home" system. I honestly cannot remember the exact name but I'm 2 jumps from the Alliance capital and have a permit, found a nice RES system with decent docking a few Ls away. No real reason why I choose alliance, when I started playing I just flew until I stopped seeing any stations or NPCs then turned around and made a home near the edge.

As for me, I'm in my mid 30s, married, 1 kid in his teens and possibly another soon. Computers are my hobby and trade. I've been using my old Saitek AV8R-01 joystick though thinking about buying something newer... unfortunately there aren't many options out there. Stick still works alright just is old and beat up. The Saitek x-52 Pro is my current favorite that I think I can convince my wife to go along with buying.

I expect eventually I'll run into more folks as I progress. Fly safe and hope to see you in space.
