Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Hi, I've been playing Elite on and off since Beta. I'm on old school gamer (to many to mention) that played the Elite II: Frontier on a 486dx2 and couldn't pass up rekindling the great times I had back then. Don't get to play much with work, kids and a flailing golf game, but I do like to jump on for a few hours a week to unwind for RL. Honestly, I am about throw in the towel with Elite, Solo play is just not enough, but now that I have stumbled upon you guys it seems like there is good reason to stick around and see how things go (hoping Horizons is as good as it sounds).

A little bio: Born in UK, lived most of my life in South Africa (accent is now locked in), and I now live with my wife and kids in Houston Texas .

Elite info: Currently trading in my Anaconda around Founders (Shinrarta Dezhra), but also enjoy jumping into my trusty fully loaded Vulture now and then for a little PvE pew pew. Look forward to getting to know some of you and enjoying a few winged sessions.

It sounds like you took the long route to get to Texas, and it's great to have another American in Mobius! My brother in-law lives in Houston, Sugarland to be exact. I live in Arizona...... no..... not in the pretty northern part..... but in the desert southern part. We love it here 8-9 months out of the year, and the weather is fantastic here in the winter!

JohnLuke - we loving Houston, having lived in quite a few countries since leaving South Africa, and most recently moving to Houston from London UK (lived for 7 years), its safe to say regardless of how pretty the place, its just great to have sunshine. Also a reason for less gaming and more time on the golf course and the swimming pool. We looked at Sugarland but I ended up settling the family in The Woodlands, which we love.

Glad to hear that you like the Houston area. My brother in law has lived there for 20+ years and loves it. The humidity is WAY too high for me.... I prefer hot and dry.
