Hey hey!!!

I guess I would be the new guy on the block, and I am very new!!!! I just started playing about 2hrs ago after some persuasion by my brother (also a member here). I have always thought the game looked fun and seemed like something I would really enjoy but the PvP aspect of it turned me away. I am 42 years old and the reflexes are not quite what they used to be to be. :(

He was telling me about this place and for the most part its all PvE based and he thought I would like it. So after looking around for a few days, and watching some streamers I decided to get it. I am not much of a gamer, I really only like simulation type stuff. SIM Racing is what I do the most, but I do dabble in some of the other flight SIMS out there. I was looking for something to sink sometime into and this seems like it!!!

Anyone know if this has triple screen support? I tried for about 30 mins to get it to work to no avail. It gives you the correct aspect ratio to choose, but it seems to default back to 1920x1080 and runs on one screen even though it says 5870x1080.

Hope to see you guys and gals around sometime. If you see some guy stuck fast to the side station in a sidewinder, hey thats probably me. :P

There are some other Sim racers in here, methinks... I think I've seen a post or two in the off-topic section :D

Regardless, welcome to the forums and the group (and the game!) Commander.

Feel free to add your name to the In game friend list thread and check out our TeamSpeak servers to easily chat with, and possibly wing up with other commanders. Also, make sure to check the Policy page if you haven't already.

There is a lot of great info on the message board, and we have compiled a long list of Tips and Tricks to help new players acclimate to the game while having fun.

Welcome to Mobius, commander uNLleashed!

I've seen several screenshots posted for guys using 3 monitors in E-D, so I know it's possible. Hopefully someone in the group with that configuration will chime in soon. If not, try a google search and I'll bet that you'll find the answer to that setup.

If no one has run through a 3 screen setup by the morning then I will but I must sleep now as up at 4.45am for work. Oh and welcome to the group :)

Ahhh fair enough, yeah that game does indeed support it, I am running a 3x 24" screens at 2080 x 1080 and it runs very well indeed. Hope you get it sussed and happy to help if needed :)

Thanks again for the willingness to help out blazingmaniac, it was very much appreciated!!!

Not really sure what went wonky the first time I tried to do it, but the next day when I fired it up, it went right into triples no problem at all!!!

No worries at all :)
Just read my post and seen the typo should have said 6080 x 1080. 2080 for 3 screens would be rubbish lol.

I figured that was a typo as that would be horrible!!

I am running 5760x1080 on 3x27" monitors.

Very nice indeed. I love the all round visibility the 3 screens give. Particularly in combat.
Safe flying CMDR. Send me a friend request. CMDR blazing.
