Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Hello, I'm CMDR Eriwyn.

Let's see, about me. uhm. I first played Elite on my brother's Commodore 64 back in '85. So imagine my surprise and delight I find Elite updated for modern day play, and now you can land on planets

I do like light roleplay so I do play male or female characters. But that was before I discovered no multiple characters per game. By the time I realized only 1 character I had at that time finally made inroads seeing what I can do, that I invested so much into this commander starting over would be frustrating to me.

As for why PVE, I never really felt comfortable in playing PVP.

Finally some RL info I'm 47 and I live in Portland OR. I'm disabled so I live in an Assisted living facility, and I play on a laptop that I think barely meets the minimum specs so I think it takes me a little longer than most between encounter loads.

There is a lot of great info on the message board, and we have compiled a long list of Tips and Tricks to help new players acclimatize to the game while having fun.

Finally, if you are interested in being involved, go here to see information about our player group faction, the Order of Mobius (based at Rafferty's Mobius station in the Azrael system). We have our own Discord (voice and text chat) servers for supporters of Mobius, as well as our own Order of Mobius Twitter feed.

You can swap gender in the options menu, but you will have the same name and whatnot.

BTW, I'm in the good ol' USA too..... enjoying the Arizona sunshine.

Thank You all for the kind welcome. Right now I'm in need of a good SRV keyring. I use a gamepad and keyboard setup and the effect I was trying to go for is similar to how you run a radio controlled car, so that I release the joystick, the vehicle stops. I'm thinking I might have made a critical error on the key binds, and I would like to see if anyone can help. Also I am asking a question from the tips about being able to run my SRV from my smartphone which confused me further.
