Trading and Mining out in Colonia ,need Advice from Experts.

So , I am at Coloniaa I just visited MCRN facily as well. I plan on staying for a while.

What opportunites to capitalize on the Trade Comodities are there? Is mining a viable option instead?

Of course ill be exploring and looking about as well.

There are a couple systems nearby that have pristine metallic rings, so mining is an option if you like.
I think they are paying ~75,000 CR/T for painite.

Mining is definitely an option. The outfitting section at Jaques has everything in terms of mining except for the PP-specific mining lance, and there is a metallic ring with pristine reserves right at Jaques front door (Colonia 4, about 20 LS away from Jaques).

Well, if you are looking to support the MCRN faction, then sell your metals at Penderson's Legacy.

But if you are just looking to make money, then get aligned with some factions and the missions can payout pretty well. I haven't done much straight trading, but there is some to be had. The problem is that most places only sell fuel, biowaste, or scrap, so deals really only go one way. I've mostly been doing mining and mining missions, along with some cargo missions.

Im just a bit sad thoug i thought it would cost me a few hundred grand to have my python shipped out after as its not configed as an explorer.

A player would do it for a lot less, especially if they get to keep the exploration data and rank. Or if you load your ship into one of the new mega freighters, what could possibly justify that cost?

Anyway, I should add that the expansion ground outposts do have more commodities for normal trading. It's the original platforms that are lacking.

So i am making the best while out here, there is a trade loop in coloina that is earning me about 10Mil an hour.

Using star system 443 as a hub, Systems 311, 28 and 2400 all trade massive amounts of data and at this point since i am freindly with all and allied to one, missions that pay usualy no less than 500k for 20-30 tons of cargo.

90% of all this trade is between these 4 systems. Since am i am doing looping runs where im usualy completing about 1 to 1.5 per stop and picking up the likes. I do on average 9.5 mil. in an hour. I did 12mil once with two 800k jobs..

I think this loop will earn me my Anny WAY ahead of schedule...

Ive only been getting 40k for painite. You tellin me I can get more?

Where in the heck do I find which ones pay best?

Well, they were way up there, and then it dropped to 18,000 CR/T, before going back up to around 40,000 CR/T. So the price does vary based on supply and demand. As for finding who pays what, I just fly around visiting places and noting the prices. I hear some people use 3rd party tools, but that just takes the fun out of the game for me. I have very little interest in making credits or ranking up, but I do prefer to get the better deals, even if it requires an extra jump to another outpost.

As for Colonia in general, I'm getting pretty tired of crappy outfitting and shipyards, and apparently, according to Sandro, no change for the foreseeable future. I'm also still waiting for a new private group for all Mobius players in the area. Since rejoining Mobius PVE, I've only seen one commander once, and I was at the end of two mining shifts and needed to take break rather than wing up.

Im getting two different reports on Colonia. Your saying I can rig my ASP for exploration, then convert it to a mining barge when I get there?
I saw video last night that said, how your rigged is what you get. It might have a dated video.
For sure they have grade 5 & 6 cargo racks there, medium mining lasers too?
