Grumble, grumble, grumble, selfish, grumble

I didn't see you offer the rest of the A-Team to join you, or to seek permission in the first place, so you have no grounds for being grumpy, except that being grumpy is your natural state... :P

And just for the record, this is not an A-Team thing, this is a "Hey I have an Idea" thing. I have no idea if Dawg, Kharma, or anyone else is interested in this.

Grumpyness is a warm comfortable cloak that protects me from those strange happy people :P

Actually, as I suspect that I'll still only be in the Pioneer area when I get back and I basically went straight there and back, I would be interested in a trip that had some sightseeing along the way. I'd like to do a bit of 2.1 first though (HUGE MULTI-CANNONS!!!!!), so if its a few weeks into 2.1 count me in.

Hmm, something like "Asshat-team" me thinks :D

Ding Ding ! Winnner!
Oh and let us know what group you are in as it may make a difference for the planning. I have taken the liberty of adding Tor and I to the Euro side. Charlie? Euro or USA?

de Carabas, I am aware of the drop of the Beta, so I doubt we will be going anywhere before it drops, and depending on our planning and decisions, maybe till after 2.1 drops. Is there a chance that you can take part at your own pace and make the meetups if we schedule on weekends? Just trying to get a feel for things at this point.

Hey Xebeth, I know you are heading back, but interested in reliving your trip? :?:

Add me for the Euro group please.

Well in that case you can put my down as an absolutely, positively, unequivocal maybe :)
If you are going to have a plan and schedule I could certainly have a go at meeting up at certain points and then taking the odd short-cut!

American D'Elite

Postby thebs » Fri Apr 29, 2016 2:41 pm

Actually, I'm at the point I might be interested, USA group.

I mean, I'm about to trade-in my A/B-spec FDS for a D-list Python, but there's no reason I couldn't drop back to an ASP Explorer and make some money with such a trip. I've never ventured far past the Coal Sack before. Even if I don't stick with the main group, it might be cool to hang around 1-2 other people and co-detail scan systems and see our names on various planets in the same system.

Also, sorry to tangent even further, but ... Mobius v. Mobius PVE private groups. What's the difference? American v. Euro preference? Other? I've searched to no avail, and must be missing it.

And now that said, as I've been hinting elsewhere, shameless stolen from your Asshat "A-team" moniker ...

I think I'm already past "halfway halfassed" as I am still making my way back from DWE. Heading back to the bubble at a snails pace and only 10KLY from Beagle Point. Just about crossed the Abyssal Plain/Pain. If I can get back in time, I'd be happy to tag along just for the jollies.

The Mobius group got so large it actually broke FD's system and Mobius couldn't add people or even load the list any more. So FD's solution was to split the group and based on the information they had, they broke it into the Euro and USA based on when people played.

First scan does not provide for the ability to have shared discoveries. Anyone can scan, first to sell gets the First Discovered By tag. Let alone the fact that the scan in a wing must be with the players in the same system and must be sold in the wing with players in the same system where the data is being sold.

I will add you to the list.

As far as co-pting the A-Team stuff, that is not even close to our description. See my sig for our Inara page with a much better description. :P

IronDuke I will add you as well. There is no commitment, it is just to gauge interest. Euro or USA?

I'm based in N. America but play in Euro time zone (Mobius). Cheers,

I meant which group are you in for the purposes of planning. Mobius or Mobius PVE (Hence Euro vs. USA)

Which is what I'm asking ... which is the USA group? And which is the EU group? I started on Mobius, then found out about Mobius PvE (and joined that as well), and I still don't know which is which. ;)

EDIT: It looks like it's "Mobius PvE" for USA, based on IronDuke's comment.

To step back, I guess what I was asking is this ...

We enter a system, and we decide X goes coreward, Y goes outward and, if there is a, Z goes another way. We each scan different planets in our "direction," so we finish the system quicker ... and ... we don't get in this situation of scanning the same planets so "whomever sells first gets the name." So, when we return to the station, we don't have conflicts, we have different planets of different credit in the same system.

At most, the person who sold the system first gets that portion, but that could be assisted by staging what we sell, so everyone gets so many systems. Or do all members of the wing get credit on a system level? I assume it's the first one who sells the system itself? Again, that could be "distributed" by having us sync'up and stage the selling of our systems.

Thanx. I'm trying to get on every other night, or going to be early so I can get on every other morning, and then have a good, long session late Saturday evening into Sunday, so I think I'll be the USA group although I don't know if I'll get one early enough for some people. E.g., I'm usually on not until after 2100 EDT (0100 UTC), but that might still work for the USA Group if most are US West Coast. Unless "normal time" for each group is 0900-1700, then I'm probably Euro, as I like to sometimes get up and play in the morning, 0500-0800 EDT (0900-1200 UTC).

Thanx again for all explanations. Still new here. I hope to make up for any annoyances and/or transgressions by offering solid hardware advice and troubleshooting over time.

That's because you're Asshats ... purposely play'n the game wrong, 'cause you don't wanna be right.

I'm looking for fellow American, and wannabe Americans with really bad accents (W impersonators are auto-D'Elite), who are dumbasses. I.e., it's involuntary in our case, because we're incapable of playing the game right. Again, we put the W in Wing, right at the front, and we follow. ;)

Sorry for the confusion - I meant that I will be playing in Euro.
