Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

Hello commanders

So after almost 4000 jumps and a few acidents my canopy started cracking and i´m still 25000 ly from home
My question is can i keep going for a bit more safely or my next acident will kill me? I´ve read that it starts cracking around 88% but i´m scared of losing all my exploration data.

I did a quick google search. You should be ok as long as you don't take more damage from emergency stopping supercruise. I think heat only hits moduals while you fuel scoop

I'm lead to believe it warns you at 75%, 50%, 25% and (of course) 0%, so I wouldn't panic.

You are braver than me. If I had discovered that much data and was that far from home, even if it was only my first crack, I know how much I could potentially mess up with fuel scooping or not backing off throttle when jumping and being distracted, so I know I'd take more damage. My butt would be heading back, a different way to try and discover some more, but with the goal to wrap it up for fear of losing it all! But that is just me!

I searched in nutter´s thread and found that indeed i´m still safe for a while as long as i don´t mess up Anyway i´m getting back soon but that still means another 700/800 jumps so wish me luck...
