How to build rep when you are loved by all.

*grin* it sounds funny to ask, but, I just got my empire "count" rank, I'm Allied with the empire, and basically every minor affiliated faction is also now allied. (I think it happens by default.

I was under the impression that doing quests for allied factions doesn't really help towards rank advancement..... So....... Any suggestions how to work towards my "earldom"?

The only way I can think of is to... I don't know... Get myself caught smuggling and then build it back up....

Any suggestions?

Go to somewhere you have not been before and gain rep there, it will not build global Empire rep but it will build local (there are seperate values but it only displays the highest) and you should get those missions coming sooner or later.

Doing the missions might not help -as much- when you're already so loved by the whole empire that you're Allied with factions by default...

.. but it does still help. I just kept doing missions, and also kept moving to different areas. I got to King a few hours ago

The new system for the Charity missions is really helping too, I think. Spot a mission for an Empire faction that's asking you to donate a few thousand to 50k credits, Accept it, then it changes to a 'deliver the stuff' posting at the top of the Boards in the station you're already at. Boom, done without ever leaving the hangar!

Rank progression was buggy. A new patch has been released today that supposedly fixes the issue but haven't verified that personally.

Navy progression is based on number of missions so I suggest doing quick ones like courier or delivery
