Orca's jump range

I wonder why the Orca's jump range is so low? Given that it is meant to be a passenger ship surely it should have one of the largest jump ranges in the game? Have (again) been thinking of getting one eventually, still have no idea why, but did think it could make a great ship to do tours of very deep space for paying public

I wonder if there would be passenger missions that would ask to be taken to XYZ system just because they wanted to view it?

So I have specced out an Orca http://coriolis.io/outfit/orca/05D6D5A6 ... rer%20Orca It isn't the lightest but can defend itself in order to get out of harms way long enough to jump should anything happen

It's a nice whale, but I prefer to have cargo bays in my explorer ships just in case I hit the odd mission that's enroute to the next destination on my explore path.
