Hello,
I ranked to King from just below Baron (I think) at Fehu. Running the high payout delivery missions. Also managed to get Tycoon, Chief Petty Officer and enough credits to get and A rate a Cutter.
Don't know if Fehu is still worth it though.

I have heard rumors that Fehu has been nerfed, but I haven't seen for myself. I'm starting to wonder if I don't actually want a Cutter more than a Corvette (it would be an even better trading vessel than my Anaconda, and probably passable in NPC pirate combat), so I may check it out soon.

I am at 91% on Entrepreneur, so I'm trying to grind out some more trading money to get that to Tycoon before going back to ranking (whether Fed or Imperial. I think I'm about 2 ranks closer on Fed at Lieutenant/Lord, so I may stick with it.) And bonus, that also means I get a bigger war chest in the meantime. In about a week or so, I've bought an Anaconda, and also raised my funds almost back to the same level as when I got it, so I feel pretty good about that purchase.

I read that Fehu had been nerfed on the frontier forums back in December '15. It's a pity. I had a lot of fun doing planetary hops to deliver cargo. Got really good at gravity braking with my anaconda.

The cutter is like a shopping cart on ice compared to the Corvette. I made sure to grind Fed to Admiral before they nerfed 17 Draconis, and quit grinding Imp after getting Duke. I'll eventually finish it over time, as I figure I don't have but 900 charity missions left for King.

That's after I finish my run to Elite. Nearing the halfway mark in Tycoon now. Roughly need 790 more single trade runs to get the 1,011 Billion needed for Elite Trader.


Good bounty trading in Jera and Turir. Plenty of targets.

Ranked up 53% in 17 Draconis by charity only in ca. 1-2 hrs. (with game mode switching), got the Naval Ascension Mission from Chief Petty to Warrant Officer (but didn't take it -- 300LY travel time minimum), did some charities more and headed for LHS 3447 for a better Ascension mission. Ranked up delivering legal data from A to neighbour system B.
interesting side note: The charity missions I completed after reaching 100% but before actually ranking up fully counted towwards the next rank after ranking up, so I got a further 8% that had been "left over" from 17 Draconis.

Still, much too far to travel in ranks for a Corvette. Don't know whether that is worth it, actually.

I stopped playing Elite for some time after a Family Loss due to Cancer
Now i am back and pretty new to Horizon and all the other stuff .

Actually pretty addicted again to this excellent Game!
At the moment i am doing Powerplay Support for Zemina Torval
(mainly sending Prisoners with my Lakon 9 for the Fortification Plan)
and alternative destroying Kumo Crew Transport Ships with the lovely Vulture for Merits aswell.

i also tested the PVP Arena CQC and noticed people became very good in dog fighting.
Anyway nice to see the Mobius Grp is still around and wow nearly 18 k members now !

Jumped back into the war with my Viper4 and had my first few kills with that ship. After a substantial adjustment period (jumped directly from a Sidey) the ship and I are finally beginning to move together. My final kill yesterday was a Cobra3 (rammed it for the final blow) which was very satisfying after all the flack the Viper4 has been getting from Cobra enthusiasts on the FD boards.

I just completed my first long-range smuggling run, and recouped almost all the costs of refitting my Asp Explorer to do it. These Shadow Delivery missions are amazing. I'm looking forward to doing many more runs over the next week.

Hello,
Did charity and delivery missions in Taribes. Got the ranking missions but did not want to take them as they were assassination and heist missions.
So went to the next system over and got a salvage mission. Went to the indicated system (cause I wanted to do some exploring as well) and waited. Salvageable wreckage popped up. Checked it out, not what I wanted. WSS popped up. No ancient artifacts. Jumped out. More SW, USS and SSS pop up. Kept waiting.
Finally another, WSS pops up. Bingo. 2 Ancient artifacts. Deploy scoop, line up for run on one of the AAs. Suddenly a wing of 4 ships pop in, 2 Eagles and 2 Sidewinders. I ignore them and continue my run to pick up the AA. Got the AA and I noticed that the other AA had gone missing and that one of the ships was scanning me. I assumed that one of the ships in the wing had picked up the other AA.
I was so pissed, as this was to be the last mission of the day and I wanted to get to bed. Deployed hard points and started blasting the ships. Didn't even bother to KWS them. Tried using combat boost manoeuvres but the boost refused to work. Finally blew up the last Sidey with one and a half rings left.
Retracted hard points and tried to low wake. Beep "Hard Points Deployed". That's when I realised that I had forgotten to retract my cargo scoop before entering combat. Retract cargo scoop, low wake out and found the final AA.
