Yes, dropping mines works well on most ships that interdict you. I have mines on all hardpoints on my trade ships. If the interdicting ship stays behind you, which they do most of the time, just fly straight and drop mines until they die.

Congrats JohnLuke, huge grind but now it is yours. Time to update your INAR file. . Comment on your mines post I did the same on the Conda but then put two Pluse Turrets on the Top Points because sometimes a ship will spawn close usually above or other times two ships spawn one behind and the other off the port or starboard not on your six somewhere near 4 or 8 o'clock but those are rare occurrences hopefully security arrives. Anyway that ship you have can take a few punches.

Truth be told, I had no intention of getting Trade Elite rank before last weekend. I started doing Sothis / Ceos runs, and the trade rank ticks came in so fast that I just had to finish it. I went from Tycoon at 52% to Elite after just 4 runs from Sothis / Ceos in the Cutter.

Well, at least the 13th Legion found a way, a fair way, to shut down the CG, instead of being chickensh--s. I salute them for finally using the game right. Could be the end of CGs as we know it ... at least trading ones.

Also got interdicted by a Python way, way above my level (Deadly) with engineering upgrades (yes, Deadly and Elite still always have then in 2.1.03+). Luckily I'm now in an Anaconda with nearly 800MJ of shields (6C Bi-Weave + 5 x 0A Boosters) and even though I couldn't submit (was already building for the high wake, ended it but couldn't submit it seems), he didn't even get them half-down thanx to my chaff, point defense and kicking out 12 mines every 5 seconds while my FSD cooled down post-tether pull.
