Hello,

Is that much hull re-inforcement effective?

I only have military grade hull upgrade. No hull re-inforcements. If my shields drop, I run till they can recharge.
I try to keep the overall mass low so that I can have some decent jump capability.
I have storage bays, so that I can still do courier missions.

Regards.

Yes it really is effective. I was mostly just filling slot space but this happened to have a rather nice side-effect. This build was to have my ship located at one station just for RES farming, hence the lack of cargo/fuel scoop etc. It actually got me from 83% Dangerous rating to Deadly in very short time as I could stay out in RES a whole lot longer. However, you are absolutely correct in stating that overall mass should be lower in order to get decent jump capability, naturally, I would reduce the ships mass if I were to use it for anything else.

Cheers,

Hi Guys.

Here is my Courier: http://coriolis.io/outfit/imperial_courier/14A3A3A1A3A2A3C1b1b1b05060606405954f2f224.AwRj4zKA.AwiMIyoo?bn=The%20Muhammad%20Ali

I solo'd an anaconda with it successfully, barely lost a ring of shields during the fight and he was Deadly I think. But... I sold it.

Reason being, it's not as efficient as a Vulture. Fighting the same Anaconda, the Vulture kills it faster thanks to it's larger guns.

I tend to get into trouble a lot and I find the Courier just isn't able to take as much heat (aggro) as the Vulture can. I mean the ship is a bit smaller, weaker hull etc etc.

It's a shame because the ship is sexy.

My courier is intended for station and system defence. Right now she just has a regular rail gun but, in a week or so, I'll be upgrading her to the imperial hammer.
