If I had flow the 45 minutes or so to reach the outpost after a jump (just to sell scrap at a loss), and had to wait because someone parked on the pad then went out to the movies, I'd be a little unhappy too.

Spotted another 'genius' at Hutton, CMDR Oxi Oximocron - there should be a way to bump these AFK'ers off the pad.

I don't understand people who stay on the pad for long times, and especially go AFK, simply because there's always going to be someone who decides to "have a go". I mean its only a press of a button to go inside :-/

It was pointed out to me that if you are in the same instance as another Cmdr, and he logs out, it could take up to 10 minutes for his ship to disappear when the instance has a lot of people in it. I was listening to Hutton Orbital Radio last night and they were broadcasting live from Hutton in Open and that is where this came up.

We are not talking like a Combat Logoff, it seems to take a lot longer when parked.

Entering the Hangar won't help. The pad stays still occupied.

It's "permitted" griefing on Mobius. There are people in the world who get a kick out of knowing they are upsetting someone, and they aren't doing anything that's against the rules.

Didn't know about the 10min logoff thing, though - it might be worth testing, but perhaps not at Hutton. Even so, there are CMDRs hogging the pad for far longer than that, so it's likely they are AFK, not logged out.
