How about 9.5 million credits for moving 55 LY...

I think they need to rethink this...

Is anyone else seeing high prices for ship transfer in 2.2 beta? I was thinking maybe testers are seeing lower transfer prices because they have bought ships at the beta 10% price. My ships in the beta are full price.

I am indeed seeing high prices for my existing ships. After yesterday when the prices seemed reasonable (around about 1 million for 200lys transfer) Today I am seeing 40 million + for the same kind of distance/ship. This is after the patch/fix last night that caused all the issues.

@blazingmaniac Thanks, good to know it's not just me, then. The official FD forums don't seem to have many complaints about the high price.

Yeah short distance is rather expensive and time consuming (to me short range is 200 ly)

Remember that those prices will vary as they get feedback and tune it.

At least now it is not 14 BILLION to get your Conda to Jaques. It was down to 1 Billion :)

Guys,

Let's say..
Ships = Small, Medium & Large

Distance..
100Ly, 200Ly, 500Ly, 1,000Ly & 10,000Ly

Question:
What do you think is a reasonable cost to transfer the ships..?

I'm actually struggling with this one.. (nothing unusual there then :( )

Well, I guess I can throw out my personal thoughts on it.
I try to take count for starting players and move somewhat up the ladder, so yes, inside 200 ly even a guy who has played modestly should be able to move a small ship around.
And even for large ships should be fairly reasonable to have moved around.

My main thought, or question, is does FD want us to use the ship transfer feature often ?
Or as a once a month, maybe for special CG's type of thing?

Also, I find it rather limiting having to pull it to me.
I think we should be able to send ships from anywhere to any bookmarked station.
So say I want to take a trip to sol, but I want my courier there as well as my Lucy.
Since Lucy is rather expensive to ship I of course send my courier ahead, and fly her.
If we had this feature, I would be more comfortable with current prices, but I still think it's too expensive for smaller ships.

Nice sheet TorTorden, thanks.

I'm still seeing in-game prices of around 10 million CR to transfer my larger ships (Conda, Cutter, 'Vette) less than 100 Ly. Hopefully, this will get reduced. If the prices don't come down, it'll turn out to be a feature that I simply would not use. After all, if I saw a mission on the board that said "I will pay you 10 million CR to manually move your ship 70 Ly" I'd take it, so why would I throw away that money?

Last night I was looking at moving my corvette (kept my live version for mods) from Sol, to Brestla.

40 million...
