The Brethren of Unity, Order of Mobius

If I were to pledge and engage in PP, it would be this. Personally, I am not sure about the hamster wheel grind of PP and the restrictions it can place on travel. I like exploring the bubble as much as elsewhere, and am grinding to get the ships I want, but I am in no hurry, and like going off on flights of fancy like the Unknown Artifact hunt, even though it is not profitable, possibly a waste of time and watching my Empire amd Fed status slowly decline while I am doing it.
Certainly a cause I would join if I were to pledge to PP

Some of the feedback we’ve collected has been from Commanders that do not wish to pledge support to any power (which is totally fine, of course!), instead wanting to remain as champions to minor factions/systems they have adopted.

In general the idea of having more dovetailing between minor factions and powers is something we’re interested in, beyond the government versus ethos effect that currently exists (and that we might consider buffing significantly).

One concept that’s currently acting as a chew toy for us is the idea that Commanders could pledge to a system under the yoke of a power’s control, becoming system “freedom fighters”, ready to push back against the invader.

As a freedom fighter, a Commander would be able to take part in undermining and opposition for the system they had pledged to, effectively working with opposing powers to weaken the controlling power’s presence

but you forget that we would not be aligned to a powerplay faction and would be our own faction. im on the approach that we are an indipendant group. give it time and you may see the galaxy map change from empire/federation/alliance to player factions being the controlling side.

I'm liking "the order" mobius is either a funny piece of paper demonstrating a two dimensional mathematical construct (I doubt I get it so, feel free point out any flaws), or " that cool black guy with the pills" in the matrix, I suppose you could say his character was stuck in an infinite loop

As noted a home system could be anywhere but I don't think it would be right in the spirit of this group to have one requiring permits.

I would honestly think it would have been much more fun or just plain cool if we could have a system/station maybe just a few light years away from sag a* offering free repairs and refuel for weary travelers

Sorry I have not posted much lately, going through some things in life. As for Mobius or "The Order" becoming a small power in the universe, I am all for it. In one of the games I used to play we were a unit of people broken up into 3 squadrons merchants, home defense and aggressor. Each squadron had a leader, we reported to them and they reported to the elders. At times there were construction events and the merchant arm would fly with support from the aggressor squadron.
With the number of pilots in Mobius it should not be hard to mine the materials we need, outfit a merchant fleet to gather the materials at the construction site and build a station for our new homeworld. (provided Frontier writes the code). We could stock it and as "The Order" make a profit from people buying and selling materials.

The hard part is writing guidelines that will support the faction and not alienate Mobius playerbase. As we are all independents, we would all have to support the process to make it work. More than likely there would have to be a core group dedicated to setting up a homeworld and maintaining it. In the past the squadron leader would keep track of those who participated in an event (screenshots) and when the events were complete, those pilots would get a share of the profits.

It sounds like a great prospect for The Order to carve out a niche in space and grow in size (people and planets)

it maybe just me but the title " the order" sounds rather ominous, not my idea but I am liking " order of the mobius " has a more chivalrous tone to it.

thinking about it a few others have come up with some good text for what the order of the Mobius is. so unless something better comes up im going with the Order of the Mobius.

I'm good with any I guess, but I think Mobius alone sounds good enough already. Maybe just add a slogan beneath as usual?
