Have set off on my first deep space adventure/exploration trip. Myself and my son have gone together. I am using the db explorer that I built solely for this.

Just tonight decided to go out for a few thousand light years. Then went out to the pub quiz before I'd travelled two systems. I weighed up the DB Explorer vs Asp and the Asp won - mainly because of the extra hold slot.

Within two hops I had crashed out of SC too close to the sun. It doesn't bode well for the next 970 ly.


Wish my lad had some enthusiasm for E:D - he's a bright kid, but he's struggling to get his head around the vastness of the navigable galaxy and the vastness of the keyboard map.

where can i go where there is pp stuff to do and res sites close by. i want to get to lvl 2 to get the cash bonus but don't have the time to fly 100ly for the 10 merits and then fly to a res site system to repeat.

any thoughts?
