Hi,

With 10 million and an ASP to dismantle I had enough money to buy me a type 7 at one of the discount sites of that other post.

Then on my first trip I got interdicted just when the counter of the jump was ticking... I thought I made it but no, I don't know in what star I burned but I did, I got my ship back with 1000 cr.

Nothing to trade with, sold some racks and downgraded some things, switched my expensive engine into a cheap one, all my systems failed.... Got a better one but still struggling with the cash, if I fly with cargo I don't have enough insurance money.

Well bought a new ferdie and went hunting merits in mahon territory. Seemed pretty slow going. No wings or anything of real interest, I am not bothering ranking up this week either so only needed 500 merits.

having blown all my cash on a few Vultures a Hauler and a Cobra, i am flying my new T-7 without insurance. i mean, what could possibly go wrong? surely nobody believes all those stories...

Only been playing just over a week. I'm currently on walkabout from the newbie area to Lave, collecting bounties as I go. I've shipped from Sidewinder, to Eagle, now flying a Viper which I love. Making good money on bounties at beacons and low intensity resource sites. I expect to be in a Cobra or better by the time I get to Lave. Thinking about doing some rare trading for better money when I get there.

Decided to try Power Play and joined Aisling Duval. Thought of getting the prismatic shield and ranking up in Empire space. Made it to Lulus and didn't know what to do. Finally, after reading some forum posts, went to Cubeo to pick up some contracts to fortify Lulus.

While waiting to fill my cargo hold with the contracts decided to do a trade run. Used Inara to check if there were any good trade routes. Found one, bought the goods at Cubeo and flew to the next system. When I got to that system I found out that the station that was mentioned in Inara didn't have a commodity market. So edited the station list in Inara to reflect what I found.

Good part though, found a CZ in this system and decided to put Lady Jayne to the test. Bought 3 new burst lasers to try out. Went in to a low intensity CZ and nearly got shot up the 1st time. Managed to run out with only 75k cr. Decided to go back in again. 2nd time stayed till I got 600k, before deciding to leave.

Went back to Cubeo picked up more fortification material and went back to Lulus.

Grinding away at my 6 mil/hr trading run in my T9. Just trying to get to "Elite" then I'll be off exploring again.
