Currently about mid-way through my long exploration (started in July playing about 10 hr/wk). I hit Sagittarius A then went full negative Z to see the edge of the black and the galaxy. Mozied my way up to the galactic plane with home at my back still.

I stopped last night in TEQAEA HC-B D1-6060 about 37k ly from populated space. Started my way back following the Perseus arm of our Milky Way. Estimating about 50k ly to go in my Asp with loaded jump range of 33ly and systems still in very good shape. Spotted my first S class star last night and was pretty stoked.

Sulking (No TrackIR) and drinking......

Playing in beta with a Python......

Took a pirate kill mission.....Arrived at nav beacon.....Waited....Took out my quota.......

Then security turned up.....4 Anacondas......2 eagles and a viper......

Decided to hang around a bit......

Smaller targets unless they were close got obliterated in secs.....No time to KWS....They were gone.....Bigger targets made me a few bob...

Till that is I came a bit unstuck.....

A wing of 2 pythons and a fed gunship.....Should have waited a bit longer.....Engaged the gunship......

Oops no greens around......By the time they turned up I was getting battered rather quickly......

Just about made it out...with a cracked canopy and 31% hull......Nice repair bill......

Still made about half a mill on that one.....So quite happy.....

Well happyish......Gawd I miss TrackIR on many levels.......

I'm making on average a rank a day. I feel this is good progress.

Figured out that from Deadly to Elite in CZ you need an average of 1M Cr .... Made 9M today and got the final Combat rank before the CG expire...

Now just sit back and wait for the CGs to expire, get the cash and off to get the Military grade composite for my conda

Was BH outside Oppenheimer Dock and got my first good spawn in ages. Just getting back into the groove and got a connection crash. When I logged back in, there were a bunch of cops fighting each other.

Still managed to rank up to Deadly before quitting. Now off exploring for about 2 weeks and should reach Elite.

cmdr clivus only had 140 mil in cash but wanted an Anaconda, so went to grab one from Diaguandri and made the 200Ly journey home in an almost bare shell without incident. just one interdiction by a moderately powerful enemy and it would have all gone bad real quick
