Hello,
Playing now. So far, no uncalled for explosions.
6A SCBs fry Lady Jayne's systems even out of combat and at 20+% initial heat.
Multi-cannons seem to do a bit more damage to Armour now.
Currently wondering how to get rid of the "Elite Dangerous 1.5" message at the bottom left of the screen.
Going to go get the cutter now. Still haven't figured out a name for her.

Edit: Killed a couple of corvettes in a CZ, they were already half dead. And the 10cr repair feature is now gone.

Have not tried landing yet, probably a powerpoint slideshow with my gtx 660.

I have a GTX 650 so I am worse than you. I had to turn things down as the default for all the surface stuff was Ultra. Experimented a bit and found Medium was 30-40 for me, so it works. But be warned, when I changed settings on the Planets surface the game told me the changes would take effect on the next loading screen. It won't downgrade on the fly like it does in space. Kinda of a pain.

Had those on ultra too, fps pretty much stayed under 10 Taking down details helps a lot.
I did have one strange thing happen while flying 2-3km over a planet, I hit something in the air. I was not flying very fast so it took only one shield ring off but I did not see anything and the radar was clear too. A small bug I guess

Winged up with Kharma on NOSHAQ in Azrael system. Got down on the surface, the Dawg showed up and landed 50 clicks away. So we drove to him. I survived with 58% hull and a half tank of fuel.

Dawg did find a POI and we ended up shooting the sentries and getting some loot.

Well then, we started to fart around and Kharma Landed his Asp, so of course I tried to jump it. Thing is, you get to close, the turret and jets fold down. So I smacked into it a few times and then Dawg tried.

As you can see that ended well. Of course because the Jets folding down for being too close, he was stuck there till Kharma came back from getting a drink and googling some Polish Model and a Bathroom break, and moved his ship.

So all in all a good time. What did we learn from this?

1. Double Backflips at Full throttle are not a good idea.
2. Want to jump with the Buggeh then get a Ramp.
3. Kharma needs to see a doctor, those bathroom breaks were WAY too long.
4. Even a Squad of SRV's would never take down a shielded ship with those Pea Shooters.
5. Dawg Can't park, Can't read a map, and can't jump.

It is with a heavy heart that I have to report a well known Cmdr for firing on me in this PVE group.......

I thought he would have known the rules by now........

But then again.....I didn't give a shit......Coz he was in an SRV and I was in my Asp.......LOL

Having spent some time upside down I can safely say Australia is not for me just yet....
