Thank you, it was a bit nerve-wracking.

I have had an interdiction so close to a star that I emergency dropped before I could submit, which also got him off my tail, so the theory is certainly sounds.

@Schmobius: Good read! :)

BTW you can see on the Galaxy map if the next system has a scoopable star or not. Got to the View tab, select Star Class in the dropdown, and uncheck everything below M-type stars. All the stars that remain displayed on the map are scoopable. Then you can alter your route or switch to economical to get to a scoopable one (assuming you have a fuel scoop, obviously).

Game freezes completely for the second time in two hours. Giving up.
EDIT okay, not really. But returned to the bran with 2.5 mil in the pocket (fighting time ca 2h in a Cannon/Burst Vulture), which shows that even Hi Resses are still something to hang around. Blew up some, I don't know, FedDrop which gave a hefty 300 k. Combat doesn't seem to have changed, BUT shields seem to be dropping faster, as reported elsewhere. Might be only a feeling, though.

Thank you. And I was paying much closer attention to that and using the filter today, for certain. I decided that doing missions for stations outside the powerplay bubble was paying ok, but taking far too much time (with too much risk of low payouts if scanned, and the fuzz seem MUCH more aggressive about scanning since Horizons dropped...), so I headed back to Azrael to pick up my Anaconda, and start doing some good old boring trading, where I'm making about 3-5 million an hour. At least those long distance runs paid for enough upgrades to get my max jump distance (fully fueled and unladen) to a bit over 23ly on the Anaconda, to help with those trading runs.

The few times I was interdicted in the Anaconda tonight, I forgot for the first couple that I have 4 of my guns on the secondary fire button, and while I was wasting pirates without even feeling my shields tickle much, I was feeling underwhelmed. Well, when I remembered to use all my guns, it became very satisfying. :-D

Fast realising that just putting large pulse lasers on my new python isn't enough for good combat. They seem to do less damage than the 2 on my vulture. Whatt gives?

3 X Gim pulse on large
2 X med pulse turret.

Which modules improve laser damage?

Range, is what I consider to be the defining factor here, you are probably a lot closer to target in the vulture than the python so in my experience the third laser only brings it real dose back to par compared with the vulture (when you keep at 800m-1km and below if possible, larger ships like pythons and conda's you can probably get closer to and thus better damage <500m.

I tried a few loadouts but I tend to stick with 3 large pulses and 2 medium multicannons, but you could also very likely use bursts with great effect.

Personally i just made Rear Admiral yesterday and am now tinkering with corvette, so far its a nasty beast of death.
I'm tempted to say about on par with conda on dps, and slightly more maneuverable than the python, with stronger shields than my old conda while using bi-weave's...

Rule 2: No such thing as overkill, as long as there are reloads.

Just running some missions and one brought me to LHS 3006.
After seeing the system map, I had to take a small detour and visit this station too.

Another afternoon destroying all those who oppose The Order of Möbius with Cmdr Judson. Much better in a wing, as these CZ's are very tough at the moment.

Even got my headset working and got on Teamspeak too.
