Unrelated; just learned that you can collect materials from planets without the buggy. See here.
Might not be very easy.. Have not tried myself and would not recommend trying with any expensive ship. Well iShips are an exception.. Won't be that bad thing if we lose some of those overpriced ships designed by Imperial Navy in Achenar, built by Alliance child labor of Alioth.

Really? You just learned that? Did you not see any of the Videos on FD's channel where they not only talked about it but showed it? Sorry not to sound incredulous, but we have been discussing it all over here and they made a big deal of it on the Vids and the main FD Forums and Reddit are all covered with information about it. I am really just surprised that you didn't know it. And it is quite easy and fun when you are winged up. There are also wrecks, mining areas and other things to find on the planets.

I followed AKA BOB when he left to go get more Coconuts for his Coconut Guns. We all said we were heading out to reload repair, you went back in by yourself and you are blaming us? HAHAHAHAHAHA. The only thing that would be better is if you were whining about having no insurance!

He does that about as many times as you try to jump out with your guns still out and then shout at us and FD about why you can't jump. Hmmm... You two related?




I repaired and on the way out of the station an NPC decided to enter on MY side of the slot. Unfortunately I was going 101. Got a Fine. Then the idiot Blew up and I got a Bounty that the station collected immediately. 101. Even the police in the Law Abiding country called Switzerland give you a 4km/h break on your recorded speed. But alas, its only money. Although with a 960K credit insurance, that's 960 less buggies I can buy.

I can die 47 times in a buggy and never lose my bounties or intel packages, but once in a ship and I no longer have to go to Alliance space to cash those things in. YAY!

Yep. I saw it first on Reddit. Have not seen any FD videos except for a couple of game trailers. Do they often show tips and tricks? Usually those kind of videos are about pvp, like Eve Online broadcasts for example, all e-sports. Maybe I should take a look, would love to learn new tricks. I've Landed on bases many times to drop off mission cargo, but I have not been too much in the buggy. Just checked my SRV distance travelled; 78,6km.

I spent the last few days figuring out my earnings per min bounty hunting in the Corvette and FDL so I could justify selling my Vette, but the Space Boar kills things to damn quickly. So the FDL is joining my ASP scout, Cobra Mk4, FAS, and Python at Founders.

Are your small multi's doing much damage to the larger ships? I've been thinking about what to put in those slots. I'm contemplating seeker missiles. They are pretty effective for a small slot, but you can't carry very many. Most of my RES sessions are less than an hour, so it may work.

I''ll be keeping my FDL for the foreseeable future. Sure the Vette kills faster, but the fun factor of the FDL can't be beat.

Take a look at the Youtube Channel from FD at https://www.youtube.com/user/FrontierDevelopments/live where they do their live shows, but they also have their archive. Its actually pretty well done. They get the main people at FD on to explain things and give you sneak peeks at things. David Braben, Michael Brookes and others. This is where they discussed the Synthesis stuff and talked about the Crafting system that is coming later this year.

Educating Ed is a good series where Edward Lewis of FD becomes the "Galactic Intern" and joins up with in game groups to highlight aspects of the game. He has done Elite Racing, Headed a Convoy with the Hutton Truckers, been part of missions with the Elite Dangerous Secret Service and more.
