They are pretty effective for a small slot, but you can't carry very many. Most of my RES sessions are less than an hour, so it may work.

I''ll be keeping my FDL for the foreseeable future. Sure the Vette kills faster, but the fun factor of the FDL can't be beat. 8-)

Those little multi's often surprise the daylights out of me. In the beginning I found myself using them to just clear out eagles or adders that fly with anacondas occasionally, but I was taking ammo home with me so I started to give every every ship that even slightly made me mad a half or full belt of ammo to the power plant. All I can say is that they now have a permanent home on my Corvette.

Thanks for the info, Static! I will have to give the multi's a try next time I change loadouts. ;)

Since the last patch, every time I drop into the CZ I am swamped. One day, 1.8 mil, next it is 8v1. The last attempt saw me right next to a Cutter, that started his ramming run straight away. 4 pips to sys and I got off 2 class 4 plasma rounds, so was looking to duke it out, until 7 of his friends joined in.
Got out at 47% hull. Odd feeling being mass locked in a conda for the first time.

As I am only 18% away from a cutter myself, ran a few missions and was interdicted by a CMDR. I showed up as his mission target.
He seemed rather embarassed by the little faux pas, or that he appears to send comms to NPCs...

Good practice of the 'Shadowplay protocol' which actually revolved around trying to remember which key binding I had changed the defaults to, and resolving to change them back...

On one of the mission runs, was then interdicted by NPC David Attenborough, the father of modern nature documentary.

Weird.

I am not sure how it works maybe someone else can give some more info, but I am thinking they made a change to the background sim. In the past I think it was simply proximity and ship size that caused you to get targeted in a CZ, but lately I am thinking that they added combat rank into the mix. I don't have a lot of evidence, but I have been in a few CZ's with random other players and being combat elite I always seem to be the one to draw attention even when I am not the closest to target or in the largest ship.

Honestly I never really ran out of coconuts, but I did run out of rum and tiny umbrella's.
Now we all must admit the latter is more serious.
How can my cabin girl ever make decent Bahama Mama's without the right rum and tiny umbrellas ?

Oh and thanks to AKA BOB for joining us and proving that the Corvette in game is just like the Corvette in the real world. Driven by balding middle aged men with lots of gold chains that are trying to prove that Viagra works. AKA BOB even had Personolized Plates. "ASPMAN"

8-)

Note: AKA BOB is pronounced Acka BOB and is actually Some Guy who thinks he is Thor. Thor Thunder in fact.

Well for one, your just jealous the lot of you, and I hazard I guess I'm younger than all of you as well :P
And second. The "ASPMAN" sign was really Kharma sneaking up behind me and sabotaging my "ASSMAN" plate. He got his dues anyways.

Karma can be a bitch hehe ,especially for Kharma :D

I played around with the load out and I kind of liked 2xC3 Gimballed Pulses, a Turreted one 2xC2 ans 2xC1 Multicannons. For the CZ where most of the ships have Mil spec armor you need some kinetic weapons

Sounds about right, personally i run with Ranualf's setup after testing a few,
With 3xc3 gimballed burst lasers and 4 gimballed canons.

The bursts has almost beam damage but generates a lot less heat, the cannons well they just wreck face, I often see a volley do anything between 15-25% damage to power plants.

I am not sure about bursts. I can shoot with 3xC3 pulses and 2xC1 beams almost indefinitely without losing power and with 2xc3 bursts 1xc3 pulse + 2xC1 beams I was overheating.

I will give them another try (2xC3 Bursts 1 C3 Turetted pulse and the 4 multicannons) tomorrrow
