Wasted one more day sitting in 17 Draconis, but the work paid off with "Federal Navy rank: Rear Admiral". I was just an 'Warrant Officer' when I went there :)

The most exciting part was getting into the station with the stolen stuff the Navy wanted for the ranking missions. Did that three times without getting scanned. Wasn't that hard in a Cobra mk3. Wiki told me that stolen stuff gives me wanted status if scanned so I assume the cops would have opened fire on me.
I play on PC, in the Mobius PVE Eurasia group.

ImageJust went through a RatDrill (so this is one proud Drilled Rat you are seeing here), and just right after that could be the rescuer of a client.
It was quite a thing: The client had never winged up before, spoke only German and we had instancing issues all over the place -- my fsd was firing up every time I dropped at the client's s location, and there always was only a Low Wake present, no ship. When I got him doing a short jump, the instancing was finally solved -- strangely BEFORE he jumped. he just suddenly appeared on my radar. He aborted in time and we could do the Limpet dance.

Nice evening I must say. And the DBX is a beauty ... no not exactly, true, but an excellent rescue ship. And pasting other ships in fuel limpets is always a nice snowball-casting feeling :)

Doing some bounty hunting and a few bulletin board missions in Nerthus, with only about 30 Ls between station and RES areas I'm making a pretty good haul. Working towards either an Imperial Courier or a Fer de Lance

Glad more people are going to 17 Draconis!

Trading between Jera and Turir, working on my grind to Elite Trade Rank. Sitting at 30% Tycoon now. Doing a bit of Bounty Trading in between, as I am tired of being a target. Thanks to my Cutter's killer stats, I am sitting on a bunch of beam lasers, a canon, and a multi canon, which makes interdictions are much more fun time for me.

Can't wait to hit my first Elite ranking. I figure it shouldn't be more than 3 or 4 more weeks to hit that. After that, it's time to buy my corvette, and go bounty hunting.

Today I got "Midshipman" rank for the Federation Navy so I went to Harm and bought a Federation Drop Ship and set it up as an armored mining ship. Then swapped modules on my Asp Explorer and set that up to explore and haul. My heavy fighter is still my Vulture and I got an Imperial Courier to learn tactics better. The Vulture is a bull in a china closet with its armor tank while the Courier is more like Matador :)

Sold off the Diamondback, Cobra and Eagle. Actual cash is down to 11 million, but the ships are maxed out on modules and I can cover insurance easily :)

I took the training wheels off the Anaconda tonight, and ditched the docking computer for more cargo space. It's actually not that bad, even if the part from inside the mail slot to the pad goes a bit slower now. I've also decided to re-christen it the Starship Money Shovel. Because it makes me lots of money.... and it looks like a garden shovel. :D In about a week, I've recovered almost enough funds that I could buy a duplicate of my Python, which initially took me months to buy. Takes money to make money...

How long did it take?
I'm currently a Warrant Officer and am trying to rank up. But I wanted to earn money while doing it. Was at 17 Draconis (that's where I got the WO rank, although the rank mission they gave me was bugged,) but didn't hang around. I tend to find sitting at stations a bit boring. But ranking the other way is turning out to be long and tedious.
