Managed to donate enough to Fed "charities" to get my Rear Admiral rank this weekend. 5 days from WO to RA. Ran some shadow missions and delivery missions while there.
Now off to rank up my trade while delivering stuff for the Blue haired one.

I went from 60% Lieutenant to 80% Post Commander this weekend myself. I think I have a repetitive stress injury in my thumb (and the wrist muscles attached to it) from that. (I use the castle hat on my stick to move the cursor, and the button just above it for selecting in UI.)

I'm kind of thinking that I'd actually like to get an Imperial Cutter before a Corvette, as the Cutter has so much cargo, it will be easier to pay for itself AND a Corvette on trade runs, even though it won't be as much fun in combat. But I need to go all the way from Lord to Duke there... I guess I may as well finish the Fed rank first since I'm so much closer.

It seemed to me that Taribes was getting a bit thinner on donation missions by the end of the night. I certainly hope that rights itself tomorrow.

I made myself grind to Admiral in Fed rank, since I had no interest in doing so again. I went Cutter before the Corvette to trade as well. I've had some fun in combat with a bounty cutter, but it's a whale to try and turn. Easiest to just fly backwards and fire off at the enemy.

Imperial rank grinding was so much slower than 17 Drac pre-1.5 Once I hit Duke, I was gone from Tamar.

The extra tonnage of cargo in the Cutter pays off fast. I make around 2.6 million with 784t of cargo with a quick 3 hop stop (each way) route.

After doing charity missions and switching modes for a wee while (an hour or so), alas I can take no more. Its too damn mind numbingly boring when I could just be out larking around. You guys are braver than me as I just cant bring myself to do it when I could be doing something tangible. My brain doesnt let me, it threatens to strangle me. Besides Ive not quite the amount for a cutter and Ive never owned a python and I can kit a fairly good one out. So thats what I am gonna do. Kit a python and hit the HiRES for a while.

Some arsing about with others on a twitch stream... I can't take out a Cutter with a Sidewinder so it seems.
Killed a boatload of pirates for a 4 mil. cr. mission
Traded and bounty-hunted for quite a bit, working on either getting a Tradeconda or a T-9 (still not sure which, but edging towards the Anaconda as I want to keep that ship in my fleet anway).
Had 3 or 4 tours in the Exioce CZ, raising about 4 mil. cr. in a couple of days. Each time with a wing of other CMDR's, thank you all for those invites, I certainly can't survive long in there by myself.

One week from me getting ED:Horizons... can't wait to land on a planet for the first time.

What I like with SD missions is that they're 300y + and with an advanced sensor you also get some nice cartography whilst your about it.

It beats the trade grind in a T9 anyways. I sick of the sight of my T9. Smuggling like this is more fun. Although I'm off to do some shooting for a bit in a hires next logon.

Besides you can pop by merope 5c to see the barnacles. Tis 1 jump away from Maia.

I always honk my way to and from the SD missions too. A little extra cartography data never hurts.

I spend most of my ED time doing BH, with a little A-B-A trade running thrown in for varieties sake. The SD missions are a welcome diversion from my normal activities and, as you know, they can be pretty intense too!

Tradeaconda. It's so much more versatile than a T9. Plus, better jump ranges. But, it is a space yacht in length..

Made it to Ensign while doing Fuel Rat jobs. TUN is still throwing Donations like no tomorrow.
I pondered over buying a Conda over lunch break. What do you Combat Conda pilots think of your ship? How does it handle in RESses? Before I sell Bloody Mess I would love to hear some opinions.

Just a small amount of problems tonight........

Big one that REALLY pissed me off was we were just coming up to a massive POI in the buggys.......Big structures we could see them and Boom......CTD........Came back in......Said structure no where to be seen.............

Worst than that is....We convinced someone to buy horizons to join us in game.......

He did.......And after a download and install joined us.....

Lori talked him through the planetary landing process and gave advice on buggy bindings......

But no matter what we done...He was always 10m above the surface and seeing different things to us.....

That was a stupid thing that crash. All of us at once.

And the Floating bug, that was a weird one. But if the landscape was rending as steps it sorta explains things. I hope the new drivers fixed him up. BTW, is he on the Forums? And if not, Why?

Honestly, I always fly backwards in my python and anaconda anyway, so I'm used to that style of combat. Since the cutter is fast, if not very maneuverable, it might suit my combat style reasonably well, though I imagine I'd only be fending off pirates in it, not taking it to res or CZ.

My tendons are aching just thinking about the grind from lord to duke though.

My advice is keep your python, but feel free to get an anaconda additionally, once you have the money. Why? Because outposts. I wouldn't want to lose that flexibility.
