Chemical processors are micro material. I have a few. Don't know how I got them. But I can't give materials

So how/were do you get them?

In Unidentified Signal Sources (USS) of the types "encoded signals detected, threat 0" and "degraded signals detected, threat 0". By going into a killing spree in a nav beacon in an anarchy system, and killing transports. Or as mission rewards.

I never investigated USS. So go to places like Sothis there are so many missions usually for Ceos (8.9 LY) and many commodities/ mats rewards.

Any Pharmaceutical Isolators at Sothis/Ceos?
Currently running around an outbreak system. They are supposed to spawn at ESS but so far no ESS spawns. A lot of DSS but when I checked in them, no PIs. Been at it for about 2hrs total and no joy. Finding UAs was much more fun and easier.

According to some of the posts on the other forum, you hang around an outbreak system waiting for an ESS to spawn. When you drop in, these would probably (due to RNG of course) give you a PI. One poster mentioned that the ESS usually spawn more than 500ls from the star.
The Pharmaceutical Isolators are also available via Mission rewards. But have yet to come across a Mission that gives them.

You may have already seen this but on Inara they're listed as near outbreak systems (which you had mentioned) and near earth-likes. Doesn't specify a range but could help if you haven't seen that yet.
