Apologies to people on my friends list who see me constantly logging in and out to refresh the mission list at Tun :D

Edit:

Not got that many in game friends so will clear my friends list to save me annoying everyone with constant relogging :)

Congrats on hitting Elite!! :D 8-) :D

I have 64% to go..... <jealous>

No worries on the mode cycling. I don't find it annoying at all when someone on my friends list is cycling. I rarely even notice it, truth be told.

Well done on Elite. :) I might add the same apology during my stint at cubeo. However when i see others do it, it doesn't annoy me at all. I just think, solidarity brother; coz its a like self flagellation. A painful rite of passage. Probably into insanity.

Ive now ground out and fitted an A7 fsd in the cutter from my B7, but if i didn't nearly spin arse first into the toast rack once, i did it twice. What it is with this thing. Go where Im pointing dammit. Its like it goes FAOFF you wanker at me. I nearly ran out of time parking this bus manually before I realised I hadn't deployed landing gear. I hate those ones near the slot too. After also nearly forgetting to request docking a few times I am beginning to wonder if Mark Rileys radio show is too distracting. Still, the cutter makes money and I will get Elite even if I do end up depleting what few brain cells I have remaining.

On the plus side a persistently interdicting FAS got shop up by the feds on my behalf after I docked. Which was nice.

Just need to grind back my fdl and for some reason I bought and kitted an eagle for whatever reason that hasn't become clear to me yet.

Hello,
Grats on the Elite, Colin The Grey.
BTW, you got to fly the Cutter as if you were flying FA off during approach and landing. I find opposite thrust helps a lot. Also for those landing pads close to the slot, I reverse into them, if I know where they are. Sometimes I make an educated Guess that the pad is below me if I can't see it in the way in.

Currently gave up on the CG and high tailed it back to Azrael when I noticed our influence rating. Took Lady Durga out to Ling Deti to rack up Imperial bounties to hand in at Raff's.
Beginning to think that having 7A Prismatics on a corvette is not such a good idea. Especially if you want to mount 2xC4 PACs or have a decent jump range.
However, so far only a full face off with a Conda has managed to bring her rings down to 1 and a half. No Shield boosters, no SCBs and 1.5 pips to Sys.

Have fun, fly safe. o7

Grats to Elite, its a long hard journey.

Today I played in a more relaxed mood.

I made Imperial Navel Rank of Viscount and had enough cash on hand, 90 million, to buy a Federal Assault ship and pimp it out with the exception of an FSD interdictor.

My constant wing mate sold all his ships and bought an Anaconda so we teamed up and went bounty hunting. The combination of firepower simply made every ship in the Rez area seem like butter melting in the hot sun.

Here is the build on the FAS

I keep hearing such good things about the FAS, but I just can't give up the extra firepower and shields from the Python for it. I tried the gunship though (which has roughly the same firepower as the Python), but it was just too damned slow.

I think Agility is just not my thing. :-)

Glad you had a better go of things today though!

The FAS and FDS are what give my Python the biggest problems in RESs. They can out turn and keep pumping out shot after shot. Have to keep constantly manoeuvring else they can do serious damage before I can take them out. Think they are a bit OP.
Will have to try an FAS one of these days just to find out how it does what it does.

The FAS fits my "in your face" style of combat while the Clipper does not.

I rammed 3 pythons to death today. First one I took out its shields and hull down to 60% on the 1st hit. Second Python I hit it right in face with my plasma accelerators as the NPC does that full speed charge, except this time it was charging a ship that has more mass than an Anaconda and a 2200 armor tank. My plasma guns wiped his shields and I moved so he rammed me which killed him on the spot. NO HULL ...BOOM! Third Python was beaten to death in less than 10 seconds between my FAS and my friend's 'Conda.

As a more illustrated example: Cover your head with a pillow case aka every other ship in the game and now beat yourself in the head with a hammer aka the FAS/FGS  That's what its like lol The drop ship is a dog IMO, I used one for mining and it was ok for that, but as a combat ship it sucks.

Also it handles quite well and can run down a Cobra, Viper or a Vulture pretty easily. Sidewinders, Eagles and Courers don't have to be chased as they don't live long enough run :P

Lol... Not surprised. The FAS really does seem overpowered. Especially after doing some comparisons on coriolis.io
The FAS has about 87t of Milgrade Armour vs the Pythons 53t. But the Python's mil grade is about 51mil while the FAS is about 17mil.
The FAS weighs more than the Python or the FDL but can out manoeuvre the Python and is supposed to be a bit better than the FDL. The FAS rivals the Python in jump range and beats the FDL hands down. The Vulture seems to have a similar jump range but it carries only 2 large weapons.
Flown the Vulture before and it was a pretty much "I WIN" ship in CZs. Will have to try an FAS and FDL one of these days. But I doubt I'll add them to my fleet.

Have fun, fly safe. o7
