Fully agree for the pads that are in the middle and at the end of a station, but the pads right at the slot are problematic, as I still have no feel where the ship ends, and frequently roll it while the tail is still in the slot. Bong.

But the mention of high-gravity worlds reminds me that I still need to watch the Acenar 3 challenge videos from ChaosWulf - landing a T9 on a 6.73 G world.

I dropped DC from all of my ships a short while ago, and for me too Cutter was the worst. Too much weird stuff happens, cannot trust it at all. Sure that manual docking takes a moment to do, but I rather do that than look at the rebuy screen when coming back from the kitchen..
I play on PC, in the Mobius PVE Eurasia group.

Forgot I was wanted and took a taxi hauler out of the station, got scanned, and that was all she wrote.

At least I'm not wanted anymore.
It's time to give this another go.

Yesterday my docking computer decided to launch my Cutter full speed at the wall next to the mail slot. I noticed what it was trying to do, threw the thrusters into reverse and tried to turn, but with 720t of cargo that ship wasn't going to change direction anytime soon.

I'd also heard horror stories about planetary landings, so I gave that a go. The only planet nearby was 1G, which I thought would be a perfect place to start. I landed without issue and realised I didn't have an SRV hangar so I couldn't even have a nice look at my ship, biggest waste of 15 minutes ever. I need to make sure I can land this thing anywhere, because if I can scrape the upgrade funds together I'm planning to bring it on the Halfway Half-assed Tour.

After raising almost 100M credits in a few days in my Type-9 (Red Dwarf) I could fly that bucket of crap like a pro. Switching to a Cutter is a lot more different than I expected it to be.

I think the Cutter actually pitches slower than a T9, but it carries a bit more cargo and a whole hell of a lot more weapons and shields (and boosters!).

Even more odd as an American, but I loved it.

I was trying to imagine the faces of all the CMDRs that saw me at the mailslot at the Nespeleve CG. Docking to the station, I get the bay number, autodock says "I can do it" (no it can't) and I just slowly start my approach. Then just before the grill I get a warning sound and a tresspassing warning with a timer - I just pull the pitch up and try not to hit the station wall. The tresspassing warning stays on for about 15 seconds after that.

Yay.

SNAFU station is a bit SNAFU.

It would be great( maybe more IMMERSIVE) see the ship computers making it's little comments on the info window. like:
-Docking request granted-
DOCKING COMPUTER:"I can do it!"
(mid mail slot)
DOCKING COMPUTER:"slowly..."
DOCKING COMPUTER:"almosFULL TRUSTERS!!!!" :D

So.
I Finally got Horizons, and after a couple hours scouring the bubble for that god**** vehicle hangar module, I'm the proud owner of a SRV!
so, what to do with this now? i'm accepting sugestions..
