Has anybody lost an engineer-modified ship yet? Does the insurance cover the modifications, or do you have to pull the lever on the slot machine again?

One of the FD guys on a live stream said insurance covers the modification as well

That is a huge relief, and went I just went back into the game, my rebuy was back to the old value. I smell a bug, and as a precaution, I will logout and login after applying important upgrades.

Keep get interdicted by Elite FDLs, they are becoming really frustrating, I get them to 50% hull and they run away, the poor old Vette just can't keep up.

Target their thrusters right from the start? Or get an invitation from Professor Palin, and apply some nice grade 5 drive tuning?

Go to ROSS 667 second asteroid belt. Blow up some asteroids with the mining laser and refine them.

Sold about 20mil in exploration data to Farseer Inc and the other RNGineer. And now access level 5 with both. Going to sell the rest of the data at the RNGineer. Too nervous lugging it around.

Opposite to Falcon_D I just started the Crab Nebula expedition last night, reached Merope, saw the barnacles bit didn't stay long. Reached Betelgeuse today and landed on the second planet.

Deadly / Elite FDL's are annoying in the Cutter. Once they get behind (easily) they are difficult to shake off.

The worst part is their rails. Have had the canopy shot out twice from an FDL that was behind me!

No engineer so far has managed to do a good upgrade first 2 times, a few were just alright after a number of re-rolls, but looking for materials is becomming a pain, only to then get a sub-optimal update.
Reverted some as well, and run out of attempts on some with Elvira

So far:
Class 3 Increased FSD range (just OK)
Class 1 Overcharged Power plant (just OK)
Class 1 Drive Strengthening (keep till Dirty Tuning materials found)
Class 2 Re-inforced shields (slightly crap, but keep till something better)
Class 1 Rapid Charge SCB (removed)

Not there, so rock up to Procyron, at 100% allied with faction, offered Permit Aquisition Opportunity immediately, then nothing.
Others report losing the permit and the Permit bug.
