Sounds like you needed about 100,000 cr per percentage point at level 4, just like me.

For me it looks like Martuuk is as double "expensive" as Farseer is. That's why I just ranked up high enough to get access to Qwent and Nemo.
Anyhow I pushed my rank at Farseer from 40% level 4 to level 5 with 200-something level 1 blueprints. :geek: Got more than enough of the level 1 micro-ressources.

I tuned the FSD of my Asp Explorer with an +47,5% upgrade. Maximum jump distance is now at 49,97 LYs - with 5D shields and planetary vehicle hangar.

Maybe you should have a look at "Thor's Eye", too. ;) (pun intended)

I've never used turrets for main guns. I like to feel more like a fighter pilot than a battleship captain. I remember a story of an Anaconda pilot that had all turrets and would park his ship in a RES overnight with a load of gold and would wake up in the morning and cash in his millions in bounties. I don't know if you can still do that, but the thought of it turned me off of turrets except as secondary weapons.

I've also become a fan of burst over pulse lasers, though I can only manage one of each on my Vulture - both gimballed.
It's time to give this another go.

If that "Parking for Dollars" strategy worked, I might make some more progress on combat.

Accidentally dropped into an unknown signal.. Before I knew it, 7 ships are upon me. By the time I left, I had exceptional internal damage.. Luckily I was in my Corvette, flying back to Jameson to outfit it.. otherwise, I'd be fragged spacedust.

My Corvette isn't weak.. but it got some major damage, pretty fast. Guess I really have to replace my bi-weaves.

Given Frontier keeps nerf'ing and un-nerf'ing the Python, sometimes it does feel like a frigate.

I use Gimballed Beams Lasers and Multi-Cannons, and Turreted Burst Lasers. The latter peck at the shields, the former are for lasing and impaling the hull.

Well, with Level 5 Shield Boosters adding +110-160%, each, I'm sure you could park an Anaconda with 3,000MJs in shields, and literally do such today.

Yeah, I don't bother with Pulse Lasers. And even Level 1 efficient Burst Lasers can half the thermal.

Now where to start......

The Cobra MKIV is a piece of shit.......

Only decided to go get the one I had in storage as the game was pissing me off.......

Where it was parked decided to try for the Sirius permit......Yea ok.......Fecking missions in abundance there.......

Dawg joined me as he is allied but still cannot get an invite to whatever engineer......

In a wing.....Fine.......

Till you actually need a wingman.........I was interdicted.......Dawg immediately lost connection.......

Not only that he had to kill the process to get back in.......

By that time I'm in deep shit.......Set high wake........Boom thrusters offline......Still charging 20% hull left.......

Charges.......Can I align with no thrusters.......Nearly made it......Boom.....Gone......

Pissed right off.......

Not at losing the ship......Not arsed about the money....

Just the exploration data and the 4 articulation motors I had...Which took about 3 days to get.....

Just getting pissed off with the stuff that is happening that follows no logical path....

We did end up laughing.......

But that was more out of frustration.........

Loads of issues that I can't be arsed to mention.....

*Go's to the "Special" place*

*Retrieves Firearm*

*Programs Sat nav for Cambridge*

Let's see how they like it.........

P.S

Only joking.......

(ish)

Image

Tor.....Hold on.......Tor.......Wait a bit.....TOR will you stop fecking firing.......Ok......Tor I know a therapist that can help you....... :D My Cmdr also has small feet

If anyone wouldn't mind helping me. Looking to retrofit my Conda, Corvette, or Cutter, to mine and grind for the engineers. that includes a hangar to land on planets with, to scan and scoop resources.

These factions within the 64 Arietis area really, REALLY hate the Cavalieri Penal Colony. Just stacked up another few million to take out its generator. I could probably get more but I'm out of mission room.

Seeing as there's an Anaconda defending it this time, I think I'll just let my SRV get blowed up. Not trying to lose my ship too.

Upon chancing on a post by one of the CMDRs here, I changed my Pythons weapons load out to 3 C3G Multis and 2 C2T beams. Simply wow!!! For some reason I feel as if I'm cheating.
Really beats my previous config of 2 C2G overcharged multis, 2 C3G efficient pulses and 1 C3G beam.

I'm mixed on this.

I mean, I like C3 Burst Turrets, especially engineered efficient. Beam Turrets, if you can afford the power and, more importantly yet, distributor drain, are great. But most times, they are sucking down the distributor. C2 Beam Turrets helps matters on the distributor front, but I really think C3 Beam Turrets are really the key to good performance. Otherwise, I'm with C3 Burst Turrets, especially those engineered Efficient.

I'd be interested to see what your results would be if you had C3 Burst Turrets, and not C3 Pulse Gimballs. I never bother with Pulse myself, always Burst ... especially since they can also be made very Efficient. And I leave them Turreted so they are pounding away ... especially with the Anaconda's firing arcs for the Class 2-3 weapons.

Of course, I got a C4 Multi Gimballed on the Anaconda, so I don't need to use C3 hardpoints for dishing out a kinectic bad day. So the C2 Beam Turrets might be best in a Python configuration, saving the C3 hardpoints for the Multis.

Hello,
I used to fly my Python with 2 C3 Burst turrets before 2.0 dropped. They used to work great. But for some reason they stopped being as effective after an update before 2.0. I think it had something to do with turrets being slightly nerfed.
That's when I switched to 2 C3G pulses, C3F PAC and 2 C2G multis. These used to work great when I could target an NPCs power plant.
But after 2.1, with updates to NPCs, I'm having a real hard time taking down any ships PP. Usually I have to blow up the entire ship. So far I've only managed to take out a Cutter's PP (in a CZ) and that was with my new setup.
Last night was fighting a Dangerous Diamond back and even with the new setup, he managed to take me down to 96% hull.
I'm thinking if I should switch out the turreted beams for gimbaled beams. My goal is to be able to take down a Conda's shields before he can spam SCBs.

Have fun, fly safe. o7
