Going on holidays tomorrow with Elite books for the beach and a shitty joystick for the nights...just in case

If I go back out to 2,000LY, will this still happen?
Screw it, I might as well head back in to Farseer Base and grind engineer rep..

Oh... you were gone?
j/k.
Glad you had a good vacation.
Loriath wrote:Well I'm back. Good Vacation. Many Beer, Lotsa Good Food and Friends, Sleeping in a tent with the missus is not that bad (Mattress is 2m X 1.5M X0.5m high) and the weather was good. Got no Fish, Set off Fireworks Illegally, Spent more time in the middle of the night drinking than sleeping. So Far so Good.
Came back and heard from Dawg there were some issues. See That Bob has a New Mug, Kharma is Dying, Dawg is Bitching. Ok, somewhat normal. Log in and was 2km above a planet. no Thrusters. Somehow I turned FAoff and could not figure out how to turn it on before my DBS splattered itself on the surface. Weeeee! What a start.
Now back in the station and heading to get Arnie the Anaconda. Need to pick up some commodities for a Lvl 5 FSD on him.
Anyone Miss me?

The mining NPC interdictions are beyond laughable.
I finally realized the logic hasn't changed much since 2.1 was introduced, at least when it comes to mining. The only reason I hadn't noticed prior was because once I upgraded to an Anaconda, I stopped mining almost altogether. It's much more profitable to run 400t+ of cargo, than mine. That wasn't so much the case in a Python, let alone smaller.
But now since I'm mining again to get engineering components, I'm back to being interdicted, and it's quite laughable. Although with 3-4x the shielding I now have in my Anaconda versus my Python prior, thanx to bigger and better output plus engineering, let alone the efficient burst lasers, multi-cannon and charge-focused distributor, I turn pirates into poo rather quickly, while they cannot bring my shields down.
I honestly don't know how I survived before an Anaconda. Oh, that's right ... I didn't once 2.1 hit. I was getting killed virtually every time I mined for any length of time.

Nice to know. I still need credits. Maybe I should change my profession.... "I knew I'd find you eventually, all that tasty cargo!"
