Elite: Dangerous PvE - Mobius

So I have been running Luxuries for a couple of days. And finally have enough money to upgrade from my T6 to an Asp?

Is this a worthwhile upgrade right now? I am guessing it handles much better carries the similar 100t of cargo. I have an almost complete A class Cobra sitting in system as well, that I guess I will sell when I get the Asp to a similar level for combat, exploring etc.

Go for it. I made credits faster in an Asp than a T6. I think it has more cargo capacity, but I can't remember the exact numbers. Just don't take damage because it costs 10x more for repairs.

Also, you have 4x small hard-points - great fun with beam lasers.

The biggest Plus of an ASP is that it's a multipurpose ship that can sport a serious loadout and have shieldcells, chaff and whatnot while still having a lot of cargo space and great jump range. That makes the ASP a less attractive target for PC pirates in Open and can shoot NPC ships like a boss

Just don't let anyone scrape your hull, repair costs are huge ...
